It was breakfast.. the food was ok but nothing to write home about. They were out of alot of product.. Amarillo is hurting for a good breakfast place..
Stayed at Big Texan hotel right across the freeway. Had good reviews. If only on food quality, I'd give a FIVE stars. Waitress was nice but food took WAY too long to come out. I ordered the Volcano. It was all good great value. Best coffee I've had out. Expensive for coffee, but we'll worth it.
Wasn't obvious from yelp that this is in a gas station... it was ok, not bad for a gas station restaurant. But not as good as the reviews made it sound.
Have driven by several times and decided to go there this morning. Food was delicious and staff very friendly. Love the bear paw print on the waffles.
Love there food. But it is a bit pricey. I ordered the chili burger with fries. Service is great. My glass was never empty

Black Bear Diner is one of my faves! Shay at BBD in Amarillo TX is amazing! Being a truck driver, there are times that we can't take our time and hang out. Weather and accidents sometimes sets us back. Today is one of those days for me. Shay quickly acknowledged me when I walked in (that's a huge plus for me) and took my order. Food and service was great. I like a good chicken fried steak and they have two sizes with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The restaurant was a bit chilly and our server Tabitha was glad to reheat the meal as it got cold while we talked.
