Black Bear Diner is one of my faves! Shay at BBD in Amarillo TX is amazing! Being a truck driver, there are times that we can't take our time and hang out. Weather and accidents sometimes sets us back. Today is one of those days for me. Shay quickly acknowledged me when I walked in (that's a huge plus for me) and took my order. Food and service was great. I like a good chicken fried steak and they have two sizes with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The restaurant was a bit chilly and our server Tabitha was glad to reheat the meal as it got cold while we talked.

Quick and friendly service. Missed a few things with our meal but when this was pointed out, staff were fast to remedy the issue and brought the remaining items out swiftly. HUGE menu of options including diet specific specialty.

My brunch group of ladies went there last month. Everyone of the six ladies enjoyed their meal very much. The portions are huge and we all took home leftovers. Our service was very good and we did not have to wait long for a table or our orders. It was the first time to try this place for 5 of the group. Will definitely be going back.

The last time I have been to BBD was when it was here in Westminster Colorado. So we decided to drop by before heading out to go home. It's not quite as I remember. The portion sizes was HUGE for one, I didn't remember that at all. The staff definitely friendly for sure, the prices were on a high side. Which I don't remember that, but then again, inflation. I have breakfast every Thursday morning as part of my weekly routine for business. I started coming to Black Bear Diner & I'm not disappointed at all! Great food & the customer service is top notch. Brittany T. was my server today & she is excellent. I was her first customer of the day & she greeted me with a smile & fresh cup of hot coffee. She is very professional & kind. Good food, good service, had a 10 month old with us that was loud and everybody was okay with it. No sideways looks because you know how people get around loud babies. Will be going again.

I was so excited to see they had come to Amarillo. I was first introduced to this place in Houston. Love that they serve breakfast all day. It's a good place to check out!!
