I've been wanting to take my mom out to eat at the Black Bear diner since we had a good experience our 1st time. But when I finally was able to take her this past Thursday we had a horrible experience. Awful service and even worse kitchen staff. Ordered the tuna melt - it came out as a cold tuna sandwich with a scoop of shredded cheese on it after waiting 40 minuets. We have given it a few tries since it opened and it’s only gotten worse. We won’t be back to this location.

Tried to eat at the AF destination twice....first time was a few weeks after grand opening and no one seemed to have the proper training and the service was below standard. The second time was a good few months after grand opening - we waited at the front entrance while the two people running the front finished their little conversation before greeting us. The decor is homey. Service was SLOW. Not all the food was delivered at the same time. We both got a pancake. Mine was huge, my daughter's was half the size of mine. Chicken fried steak and bacon were good, eggs cooked well (over medium). Coffee was good.
Not impressed at all. The breakfast burrito had no flavor and didn't even look appetizing. It was just mushy eggs and refried beans, no jalapeños in it or any other vegetables besides a TON of red onions (we asked for tomatoes and jalapeño, they were never added). Hash browns were greasy, slimy, and not cooked all the way. None of it had any flavor.
