If I could give a ZERO I would. Because it was graduation day, they were very busy which is understandable. We had a party of 13. First we were told 30-35 minute wait. After waiting 45 minutes, they told us they couldn't seat a party of our size. However they had no problem seating other large parties that entered the restaurant long after us. Zero stars if I could. Have never been to a black bear diner and never will ever again after this experience. Host sat us down within a prompt time because there was only 5 groups of people in the whole place. Although she didn't say anything and looked high. Waitress took 15min to get to us. We waited over an hour for our food. When the food finally arrived, 3 of our 5 orders were wrong or had to be sent back. My husband's eggs were raw, the biscuits were raw (doughy), my egg whites smelled like fish, and my sons pancakes weren't correct. When my husband asked for new eggs, they didn't take his plate and left the raw eggs to soak in his chicken fried steak, just brought him new eggs, that still weren't cooked correctly. My Husband and I gave this restaurant 2 tries. The first time the sausage plate he ordered had zero sausage in it. When we asked the server she was told by the cook that "it was pre measured with the appropriate portion." If by that they meant, none then they were correct. This second time I decided to order a blue cheese burger with fries. I was sooooooooooo disappointed. The burger was bland and the fries were stale. Very bad service. When the host sat us down they sat us at a small table and we had our baby with us. All the employees kept looking at us because we were blocking their way. The shift leader Marci was very rude and said we were in the way and didn't make accommodations for us. This should not even be a one star. Service nice at begging got drinks. No food for over an hour wait. Tables tuned over in our section, i spoke to the manager and finally found our server. Food came it has not what we ordered, how we ordered it and completely cold. We got up and left! Waste of time!! We live 2 minutes from there! Unlikely we will go there again. So disappointed.

My husband an I went for dinner about a week after they opened. Food and service was pretty good so we went back for dinner on Sunday May 18th. The restaurant was about 2/3's empty. We were seated in the back room. The air conditioner was too cold [other reviews here said the same thing]. My husband ordered a Denver Omelet. Went today and I'll never go back. I ordered 1 scrambled egg, 2 pieces of bacon "crispy-well done, wheat toast and cup of fruit. My husband got a scramble of some sort. His came piping hot, his toast was barely toasted though. My bacon came half raw and when she set my plate down said oh, is it done enough. No! Ok I'll get you a new order.
