We went for breakfast on Sunday, and were surprised that it wasn't that busy. Now I realize why--it's pretty pricey! The food was ok, not great, but they do give generous portions. However, the service was excellent!
I went in and had breakfaat a few weeks ago with my Mom and sister. Our food was really good, our waitress was Holly Wood and she was amazing, super nice and took care of us. The restaurant was clean and just a nice place to sit down and eat. we will be coming back soon and I hope we have the same waitress.
Just went with a large party of 20 to Black Bear Diner to celebrate a birthday. Our food was delicious! And always, the rotation sizes were huge! I would give 5 stars but they were out of ribs and prime rib (what the birthday girl wanted) and their pie selection was lean. Our server Sammy was phenomenal! Good old-fashioned food. My server was very attentive, checked on us constantly. Definitely recommend this place.
Good was good as expected. But the best part of the visit was our server Holly! She was amazing! And as a retired Chef of 30+ yrs., i don't compliment servers unless they earn it! Holly was friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. She definetely sets BBD apart from the rest of the breakfast establishments!
My family and I are frequent visitors, this is the only establishment I have a preference of a server. The last 10 months it's become our twice a week dinner spot! I ask the two kids where and without missing a beat "let's go eat with Holly. I'm thankful for her compassion with my autistic children. Holly doesn't just take our order and drop off food. I Had the best service the other night from this local Diner. I think our server's name was Holly. My meal had a generous serving and was full of flavor. Breakfast for dinner is just yum. I never felt like I had to wait for anything as the waitress seemed to just know what I needed. The service here and food made my experience worth coming. If you're looking for that home cooked friendly little diner with an upbeat atmosphere then this is your place.
Breakfast was good. My picky eaters had choices they actually liked. Service was kind and efficient. Just a little pricey.
Holly is such an amazing server. Her hosting was incredible and made us fill like we were all a big family. She was so kind and so funny. Thank you Holly!
