Our food was absolutely great. The Huckleberry lemonade was delicious!!! Our waiter was very friendly; as well as everyone else we incountered. The decor 100%! I love Black Bear Diner and I am very excited to have one in Chico, CA.

Black Bear's Back I tried the new Black Bear diner just opened in Chico CA. It was yummy. My server Nina was great. Very attentive to my needs and delightful to chat with. I had simple scrambled eggs bacon and French toast. Everything was hot when I got it. Other restive tried and my food was cold. But not here. Can't wait to go back and try something else. It was quite busy but I still got severed in a timely manner.

So very happy to have a Black Bear Diner again in Butte County. Whether dining solo, as a couple or a large group the Black Bear will make you feel like family.

Went tonight with my husband and we had a wonderful time! Our server was so nice and friendly!! I believe her name was Kass. We had the steak and tri-tip and both were delicious!

Only 1 out of maybe 5 times do they not disappoint. Got omelets and both had all the filling outside the omlette! Like WTF?! even the fricken cheese was outside the onlette. It was so bizarte! The sourdough tasted like how sweaty feet smell, the home froed had zero seasoning. They couldn't even get a fruit cup right, as the cantaloupe and honeydew were not ripe and had rind on them. Total shitshow and won't try again with them.

I went to the Black Bear dinner on two different occasions for their prime rib and they didn't have it. I called this last time to make sure they would have it and was told they would and didn't. It's on the menu, and they lie I won't be going back ever again.

This is the first time I've been unhappy with my experience at Black Bear diner. It was a busy rainy Saturday morning. The waitress was fantastic. Unfortunately, between order and food delivery was about 45 minutes. The pancakes and potatoes were warm enough. But the ham steak, eggs, sausages, Were cold by the time they arrive. Tasty though. But I expected better from blackbear. The three dessert pies I took home. We're also good enough tomorrow. Pretty dissappinting. No host to greet us. Waited several minutes. There was dirty silverware. I asked about local beers -none. None of the beers they did have listed were in stock, only bud light, The hamburger I ordered was dry, pretty tasteless, the tomato runny and unappealing. The grilled onions minimal and bland. The fries were not fresh, microwaved likely. I only saw one staff member for the whole floor. Bring back Outback?

Service was fine, employees were nice and clearly trying, but abysmally long wait time. Almost 2 hours, and once we received the food, my order was complety wrong and one of us didn't receive a side that came with the dish. When we paid, we paid separately- after confirming what we each ordered, we still all paid for the wrong thing. Extremely understaffed, do not recommend until they have a properly filled out schedule. Genuinely quite possibly the worst restaurant experience of my life.
