Went on Thursday 8/1 ordered well done breakfast potatoes. They came out raw... the waitress didn't come Back around and check on us until our meal was half way over.. the waitress should have seen they were raw before bringing them to our table... the waitresses were talking about scheduling issues on the floor also. Something about the manager wanting more waitresses to come in but they didn't feel they needed more.. I felt one more would have helped. Also if you order the chili remind them to make sure it's hot...

Well.. to start with. I have eaten at Black Bear in many locations, I haven't eaten here in Chico. Apparently on a slow Wednesday at 8 pm they close. First my husband called and someone finally answered after 8 rings. A man answered and said hold on. My husband heard conversation and laughter, and the man never got back on the phone and just hung up on us. Went by tonight at 8:15 pm, all locked up. Posted hours are until 9pm. I'm guessing special offers are fake.
There was no wait at lunch time June 11, 2024. The server was proficient and the iced tea was quick and cold. We ordered and it took awhile to get our food, a tuna melt and chicken wrap sandwich. I appreciate the effort of the server who appeared to be the only person on the floor wearing all the hats as table cleaner, host, cashier, and food server. We used to love to come here, but lately the food has really gone down hill.y Reuben sandwich had potatoes in it instead of sauerkraut. I think it was made with leftover corned beef hash. The service and manager are great, but I think they need a new cook.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We had to wait over an hour for our food. My breakfast potatoes came burnt, and my bacon was cold .Will never be back!

Had to wait almost an hour to receive our food, which was just ok. They weren't crowded, either. No one came to apologize. Terrible customer service. Food isn't worth the wait.
Overpriced forsure but the Food looks great on the menu but I don't know how it tastes because they took 2.5 hours to prepare my DoorDash order and when I would call to get an update the lady would lie and say oh yeah it's being boxed right now.... Terrible service for expensive Dennys food. Yikes

Our meal took approximately 30 when the entire restaurant had less than a dozen patrons at the time. When the meal finally reached us, was less than satisfactory my wife had fish and chips, and it was cold, and overcooked. My meal also left a lot to be desired.
