Service was good always came and checked up on us. Food was ok just nothing that wowed us especially for the price.
This was our second visit. Our first visit was moderately worse than this one. The food is always really good, but it seems that the FOH can’t get there act together. Salads came out well after the meal. One meal came out well after the salads that were after the other meals. 1st time they were freshly open and hiccups are expected. 2nd time they’ve been open for months and these little nuances should have been worked out.
Worst restaurant experience in a long time! Everything was and went wrong! Bad service employees sad back hurting crying, rude angry unapologetic, cold just down right unfriendly! Icing on the cake I got charged twice for this nightmare of an experience!
New location (El Cajon), arrived at 6am. Carpet was not cleaned from the night before. Lighting at table too bright. Music too loud (rock and roll). Holes in pepper shaker too small for the coarse pepper. Take off top to dispense. Nothing special about their concept or food. Won't return.

Food wasn’t that great. The waiter who was alone in the morning brought the bacon after I was almost done eating, only cause I asked for it. I think she had forgotten about it.
messed up orders, missing 1 piece of chicken, COLD mashed potatoes, never brought us the missing chicken, did NOT offer to compensate.
We all ordered bear's choice. 2 out 3 orders were delivered correctly. We received one of the wrong orders back quickly and the other took 15 minutes. The ones that brought out the order said they would talk to the server, but when she stopped by 15 minutes later she had no idea. I have been to numerous black bear and never had such bad service.
Didn’t go, thought would like to find a new place to eat out................. however the review was not so good.! Will keep looking
