We loved eating at Black Bear Diner when we lived in Central Oregon so we were so excited when we found out one was opening in IF. Every time we have eaten here since it opened, it has been a disappointment. Burnt food, lousy service, long wait times even when it’s not busy. So sad knowing other locations are great.
(1/3) We had a host tell us our wait would be 30 minutes. We watched around 20 people leave, 10 more be seated, and waited an hour to get seated before we (2/3) finally left the restaurant without eating there. There were empty tables that could have been pulled together for our large party had they been willing (3/3) to take care of us. Very disappointed with how they handled it inside.
We previously had eaten here and enjoyed it, but last night was a completely different story. After waiting 30 minutes to get seated (it was a Friday night so we did patiently wait because I knew it was busy), we had to wait another 10 minutes with no staff stopping to get us drinks. Finally, the assistant manager got our drink order and told us "Tara" would be with us shortly. Well I thought I'd try it out we went today service sucked food was crap bacon and hash browns way over cooked food was cold when we got it I will never be back I recommend that no one try it waste of time and money should have went somewhere else that actually tastes good and has better service
First time going here and was super disappointed. My friends waited quite awhile for drink refills and even asking two different waitress no one seemed to care. My friends daughters bacon was burnt. My potatoes were cold when I got them and the chicken fried steak was not great. When we told our waitress at the end about the problems she just said sorry were short staffed and didn't seem to care at all. Will not recommend.
Have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the service and food. Tonight was a different story. We ordered and once we had our food the waitress disappeared. After waiting patiently for refills on drinks I asked another waitress for refills and she promptly forgot about us as well. Some of the food was burnt to the point even bacon was inedible.
