We recently stopped in for breakfast here and did not have a great experience. The coffee was good but one of my daughter’s eggs on her Eggs Benedict was raw and she was not able to eat much. The rest of our breakfasts were just ok and when we went to pay our bill we were only given a discount off of our daughter’s meal with the raw egg. They also told my husband that a biscuit was included with his meal and it never appeared. Next time we will go somewhere else!
The Meat Lover’s Omelette was disappointing. Very little meat filling and cheese. The omelette itself was nothing special and certainly not the feature item on the plate. 80 percent of the plate was dominated in presentation and food quantity - by a softball sized biscuit, a very generous portion of hash browns and an ornamental garnish of lettuce and orange. It should have been called the Biscuit/potato breakfast. Same story with my wife’s California omelette.
We will never go back to Cracker Barrel again 😁 Breakfast here was awesome!
We went for the pancakes and waffles, not their best thing on the menu. Pancakes are to dense and sort of raw, waffles too dry and flavorless, not airy and light. BEST pancakes and waffel are still at Cheesecake factory (jusy fyi). But will try the French toast apparently they are yummy. I'll give it another go.
I ordered a Rueben and cup of soup. Not impressed with either. The bread was not rye, grilled and greasy, and almost no sauerkraut at all !!! It’s a Rueben for goodness sake. Should have had lots of sauerkraut!!! I even showed waitress who agreed there was too little, I am talking less than a tablespoon for entire sandwich. Some areas of the sandwich had none at all!!! Black Bear Diner had a nice menu with average prices. The food was good, but what I had wasn't great - it was good (The Country Benedict). The wait was long but the staff were friendly. All in all, I'd have to eat something other than breakfast there to try it again and I am willing to try it again.
