Slow service, took a while to get seated the food was ok. It was a Thursday after 1pm service was slow, lunch was just ok I hear breakfast is better will have to give them another try
Mother in-law and I went at 11:30am day at counter and ordered lunch, the food that was coming out was all breakfast. Waitress said the cooks weren't serving food in order and have is two tomato soups to pass the wait...Mom and I don't eat tomato soup soooo it was wasted. It took 40 minutes for our 1 sandwich to split and the fries weren't fully cooked "mushy and greasy" I usually love Black Bear and I even mentioned it to the manager but all he said was thanks for the info??? Mom very discouraged to go back

My food was cold. The meat looked like it had been sitting for hrs. Even my lil corn muffin was cold the butter didnt melt

I had the coconut cream pie. AWFUL. The filling was congealed, gluey, I am sure it came out of a can, and there was no coconut in the filling at all. None! There were a few pieces of coconut on the top. I couldn't finish it and it is one of my favorite kind of pies. My husband and friend had a breakfast and had no complaints.
Food was ok... it didn't really impressed me...I was expecting something better...
Well I wasn't to sure if I wanted to really dine here but I did. It's alright I guess. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and I was very disappointed. I expected more and it didn't live up to the hype. Biscuits were to salty and gravy was more like a cream of mushroom. I'll give it another try. Maybe lunch or dinner will be better.
