The service at this place was absolutely horrific. We sat for almost 15 min before our drink order was taken. Once we placed our drink order with a server that wasn't assigned to our table we waited another 5 before our assigned server came to the table. Once she came about 5 minutes after, she returned to let us know the original person that came to our table forgot our drink orders. We placed an order for mimosas and water. The waters were brought out and probably 5-10 mins after. We were told they didn't have any Prosecco... read more

Never been here and decided to tryit out. Right off the bat we stood at the host stand while several employees walked past us for a long time. When we were finally seated we waited for a long time to get our drinks. We got our coffee but nothing to stir it with we didn't even have silverware so we asked for some but the waitress decided to catch up with another worker while we waited for our silverware. The food was not good. Hash browns were burnt and hard, pancakes were terrible, the ham felt like a piece of leather. The o... read more

This morning was my first time to eat in a Black Bear Diner. It will also be my last time to eat in a Black Bear Diner. The service and ambiance were both fine. The portions were more than ample. Unfortunately, the appeal of the food (I had one of their breakfast omelets) was a notch or two below mediocre. I would have definitely preferred smaller portions of food that I would actually WANT to eat instead of a mountain of food that bored me after the second fork full and for which I could not come up with any reason to i... read more

Place is dirty, trash on floors, several dirty tables, waitstaff standing in back talking instead of cleaning or waiting on customers.i had to flag our waiter down to return food that was cold, to get refills, and to get the check. Food is so not flavorful. The hashbrowns are under cooked, ham overcooked. Save your money and time eat elsewhere

I visited this diner for the 1st and last time Saturday, 8/3 in Mesquite table#81/1. I am not adverse to waiting on my food because I used to be in the industry and understand being double-sat working doubles etc. However, what is unacceptable is accidentally giving person A what person B ordered; taking it back to the kitchen and bring that same meal out to person B later after person A touched it. I saw it with my own eyes + the glasses that I wear and the waitress confirmed matter of factly as if it happens all the time t... read more

First & last time ever. My food was given to my sister by mistake; while I waited they took it back to the kitchen moved it to my plate and brought it out. It was cold and hard.

Food was terrible. Overall, the food was warm at best. Eggs undercooked, hashbrowns, semi raw, and the toast was not toasted. The waitress brought out more undercooked eggs, and said that was the best they could do for over medium. She never offered to take anything off of the check. We've been too many other Black Bear locations and have always enjoyed a good experience. We will not return.

I've been to other locations with this same chain which made me want to visit the Mesquite location, but it was a mistake. It is poorly run, menu was similar but overall quality was bad along with service. Our server with the three inch black dagger nails seemed like she was on drugs, couldn't remember anything and hard to find when we needed refills on iced tea. Dessert was cobbler served in a tin foil cup inside of a bowl, and we ordered two with ice cream and got one with none. It was dry with cheap pastry on top, the ins... read more

First the server didn't know what came with what I ordered. Second the ac was blasting cold like the north pole and leaking had to move. Then when the food came it dint taste good I could have got a frozen food meal and cooked at home and tasted better than what they serve. The cup of chili tasted like a can chili from the store the potatoes tasted like they just got them straight out of the ground and dint wash the dirt off them the cornbread tasted like a jiffy corn muffin mix and the "bigfoot" was cooked to crispy..don't ... read more
