Great service! There was quite a wait for a table but as soon as we were seated a server was at our table to take care of us. The food was great. A fantastic selection for breakfast. All 6 of us selected something different and enjoyed every bite. The decor was interesting and there was ample space at our table. The one downside was parking. There simply isn't enough space and the layout for what there is becomes chaotic. We will return.
The food was excellent! Good ingredients, fine flavors, properly cooked, and massive serving sizes across a Way Complete Menu with every item available every hour they are open. I had the Hobo Omelet -- Terrific, and NOT Heavily Salted; what a relief! The side of grits had perfect flavor and consistency. The biscuit was fine, just three times bigger than I could manage that day, or most any day, for that matter. My server, SADIE, was cheery, attentive, and helpful. She added real joy to my visit, though the house was s... read more
I was excited to try this place out because it kept popping up on my Yelp. Food- I ordered the waffle with scrambled eggs. The waffle was huge, and too dense. It was dry and just very heavy. The eggs were good. My husband had egg whites and grits. He said the grits had good flavor but were too runny. Service- our server was so good! She was very personable, and just had a great spirit to her. Ambiance- the place had a feeling of a lodge in the woods, but also an old style diner feel from the 50's. It was actually cool. ... read more
Business response:
Your positive feedback on our server and ambiance is greatly appreciated. We're glad you enjoyed the lodge and diner feel. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Our first experience at Black Bear Dinner where five free-standing wooden bears with service caps indicating Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard greeted us. I had tried before coming to dine but there was a two-hour wait. The place had just opened for business. Now all the excitement had died down. Our dining experience was epic and our server was truly outstanding. The girls had their vegetarian plates while my spouse had the traditional eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns. Of course, I had the steel- oats oatmea... read more
This is a new location that opened recently and has been wanting to try it. They have a good-sized parking lot, so there were no issues finding a good spot. The place inside was nice, clean and very roomy. They have a cute little giftshop on the side (little rack with clothes, bear stuff toys, and also bear paw slippers). We were seated on booths, and the seats were really comfortable. They have a whole bears theme throughout the place but not overbearing. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and helpful. Went to BBD today for the very first time and was not disappointed! Nichole our waitress was amazing! She was friendly, informative, and made our visit a pleasant one! The food was great and was hot upon arriving to our table. The Denver Omelette was divine and the iced coffee was perfect. The restaurant looked and reminded me of a log cabin which i loved! Noise level was to a minimum which made our late breakfast even better!
Food portions are huge! Prices are reasonable and service is always great at every Black Bear diner I've ever been to. Setting is very homey vibes mixed with a splash of a cabin vacation.
Food was 10/10 amazing we had a lovely experience at this cute diner with a huge menu. We got breakfast and handhelds and they were all great. Rocky our server was amazing as well she really went out of her way.
Food was pretty good. I was tired of fast grilled and sandwiches. Wanted some cafeteria style food. I've tried Cracker Barrel, they ok, wanted to try better. So I decided to try Black Bear Diner, first time and it's newly opened. It was dinner time around 3 pm they had a small crowd. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. lol heard the cook yell out "86" the meat loaf oh oh. So I wondered how long it would take my waitress to figure this out. My food came out. I ask her is this meatloaf?? She repl... read more
