Best new restaurant candidate for SATX in 2024. Cracker Barrel meets Jim's but not 24 hours (6am-10pm). Maybe Cracker Bear-el? We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The entryway has a mini bear themed shop including a small to go pie rack. On the way out, my teenage daughter purchased fuzzy pink bear slippers she's telling her friends about right now. We've been anxiously waiting for the opening of this location. We gave it a few weeks for the crowds to die down. We got a table quickly upon walking in and our drinks came even quicker. The menu has something for every one, The kids menu is probably one of the best I've ever seen. I decided on the turkey club and my daughter got the grilled cheese kids meal. The kids meal came with a sundae for dessert. The service was great and the decor in the restaurant was really cool.

Black Bear diner was an outstanding change. I've been here a couple of times and they've been spot on with food and service. So far everything is delicious. The word is getting out so the wait times could be long depending on what time you go. Especially if more people post up these reviews.

First timer today and needless to say we will b regulars. Our waitress Sadie was amazing!! The menu was alittle overwelming.. we kept it simple..breakfast. the biscuits were texas huge. Only had to wait a short 20 min..not a big deal..enjoyed looking at everything..

This place is easy to find. It's right off the 151 when you're heading east. They have a huge menu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. If you've been to Cracker Barrel or Claim Jumper on the west coast, the food is pretty similar. The service here is awesome. The servers are super friendly and well-trained. The food comes out hot and pretty quick, and they're always on top of refilling your drinks. The prices are about the same as other restaurants in the area. About the food. Yes Yes Yes! Parking is their biggest problem especially when the delivery trucks arrive. Breakfast for the Hangry at this fine restaurant. Plenty of staff to make sure the line stays true. Expediter was on his game and was fun to watch. Heather was our waitress and did a great job with the order. Checked up on us several times, made sure the drinks were full and was able to chat a bit while the order was placed. Great job! Food was hot and made fresh. Great food. Great service. Huge portions. First time I tried it. Was clean and very friendly service. Will go back and try lunch. The breakfast is great. One note don't need syrup just butter on pancakes, they are sweet. Coffee was good. Go by and try it you will be glad you did.

Black Bear diner on 151 in San Antonio recently open. Me and my wife went to the restaurant to have dinner. Although the place was really busy lots of cars we were able to get in and be seated within 10 to 15 minutes. There was lots of wait staff, they took care of customers extremely fast and efficiently.
