It was a respectful place, and the waitress was super courteous and serving us to her fullest potential. Even though she was new to her job. The meals were also delicious. Thank you. Welcome Black Bear to San Antonio. We now have two locations. Hope they keep adding more restaurants in the future.

The diner itself is very cute. We had the pleasure of receiving Hector as our server, party of 9. Upon greeting us Hector introduced himself, the restaurant, and the menu he gave many great suggestions. Even with 9 different orders after taking the entire groups order he took the time to repeat every single dish ensuring accuracy. I gave the restaurant 4 stars as a whole due to multiple incomplete dishes, including, 3 biscuits, a fruit cup, ham on a kids scramble and missed additions or subtractions to two of our salads. Loved my visit to Black Bear! I'm so excited that they have opened one close to me. I've been wanting to try a salad from here for a long time now. I finally had one and omg it was perfect! Everything and more! Definitely shareable! The side of garlic bread I ordered was meh, just maybe too crispy or not for me. Won't order that again. But at least I tried it! 10/10.

Waited two weeks for the grand opening rush to finish. Ww got there early and there was no wait. Great service by our waitress. The portions were big and delicious. I got the breakfast bowl and my daughter got the waffles. Very pleased with the place. Will go again. Ambiance was very comforting and warming.

Had to order online because it was busy to dine in. I ordered breakfast meals and everything was great. I like that you can choose on hash brown/ potatoes choices and pancakes were great only thing they didn't provide was to go utensils with my order but noticing they were real busy it wasn't a big deal. Great experience. Can't wait to dine in to get the feel of the restaurant.

Best new restaurant candidate for SATX in 2024. Cracker Barrel meets Jim's but not 24 hours (6am-10pm). Maybe Cracker Bear-el? We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The entryway has a mini bear themed shop including a small to go pie rack. On the way out, my teenage daughter purchased fuzzy pink bear slippers she's telling her friends about right now. You'll pass by a colorful jukebox. Breakfast is always available. The menu reads like a mini newspaper. Big selection of Americana; burger, seafood, salad, chicken fried ... read more

We've been anxiously waiting for the opening of this location. We gave it a few weeks for the crowds to die down. We got a table quickly upon walking in and our drinks came even quicker. The menu has something for every one, The kids menu is probably one of the best I've ever seen. I decided on the turkey club and my daughter got the grilled cheese kids meal. The kids meal came with a sundae for dessert. The service was great and the decor in the restaurant was really cool.
