This place is easy to find. It's right off the 151 when you're heading east. They have a huge menu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. If you've been to Cracker Barrel or Claim Jumper on the west coast, the food is pretty similar. The service here is awesome. The servers are super friendly and well-trained. Yes Yes Yes! Parking is their biggest problem especially when the delivery trucks arrive. Breakfast for the Hangry at this fine restaurant. Plenty of staff to make sure the line stays true. Expediter was on his game and was fun to watch. Heather was our waitress and did a great job with the order. Great food. Great service. Huge portions. First time I tried it. Was clean and very friendly service. Will go back and try lunch. The breakfast is great. One note don't need syrup just butter on pancakes, they are sweet. Coffee was good. Go by and try it you will be glad you did.
Black Bear diner on 151 in San Antonio recently open. Me and my wife went to the restaurant to have dinner. Although the place was really busy lots of cars we were able to get in and be seated within 10 to 15 minutes. There was lots of wait staff, they took care of customers extremely fast and efficiently. Wow! All day breakfast which includes the biggest biscuits in South Texas! The quality and options are great! Black Bear is a great alternative to Jims or Ihop!
Just wanna give it the biggest shout out for amazing over-the-top service. I was very well taken care of and my son and they went above and beyond what is normally expected as a restaurant thank you so much for making my experience wonderful and pleasant. The food is amazing, and the service was awesome. Autumn took great care of us, our meals were out very quickly, and piping hot. My go-to was perfect, chicken fried steak with extra gravy. The onion rings were on point, I never thought about cranberry sauce with chicken fried steak before, but it was excellent. My wife had the turkey dinner that was very juicy, and we had to order the bear paw desert to go because we were so full. My wife also signed off on excellent homemade ranch dressing. New location opening today! Atmosphere was fun and inviting! Everyone was happy and helpful! Food is always plentiful! Come in hungry, leave full with a Togo bag! Dee was our server! She was amazing!
