Food was very good service was excellent prices are very fair would recommend interesting menu big variety.
Came here on a Sunday for a Fundraiser to support our local HS JROTC. The food was great a service was fantastic I do not recall the name of the young lady that served us but she was on point. It was very busy for the breakfast/lunch time frame but the wait is what you would expect 45-50 min. The disappointment was there was a piece of hair in my son's biscuit and the waitress apologized and took the plate away. The pancakes were huge so next time I might try that.
The food was okay edible but nothing stood out to me. Service was okay also due to short staffed I believe. It was a welcoming atmosphere I think. Like I said it was okay.

Enjoyed a more than great breakfast today at Black Bear Diner on Highway 151. Their customer service was warm and friendly. When my husband and I walked in, we weren't sure what to expect, it was our first time, and it felt like we entered a cute breakfast cabin on the mountains. Loved and enjoyed every moment! I ordered the chicken fried steak omelette, grits and a biscuit for my side. Not one thing disappointed! They serve TEXAS portions over here lol. My husband also loved his French toast, eggs and hash browns.... read more
I had Jaz as my waitress. The customer service was excellent. It was the best service I have had in a very long time. I travel for work and visit several restaurants. The food was pretty good also. I would recommend this restaurant.
Ate here on a Friday around 11 am, we were a parry of 5 and had a 20 min wait, which was reasonable. It's our second time dining here and we enjoy the portions. My son enjoyed the pancake; and I enjoyed the steak and eggs; the tuna sandwich was good, but wished the celery was cut into smaller pieces. Food came in at a timely manner and our server was prompt too!
Diner Was Very Lit With Bright LED Lighting, Not What I'm Use To In A Black Bear Diner. Services Was Quick And To The Point At 6pm. Food Was Delicious And Big Size Portions. Bathroom Was Clean. Parking Lot Was Clean And A lot Of Room.
The food was great and the restaurant was clean. What stood out the most was the service, Lucy was amazing. We don't eat out very often and typically don't remember the name of the server. Lucy left her mark! She was extremely welcoming since it was our first visit, checked on us frequently during our meal, and kept our coffee full. When we come back, I hope we get to see Lucy again.
Large portions of food for the price. Service was awesome. Little to no waiting and the seating was comfortable and customer service was on point. If you haven't been to Black Bear Diner, get there ASAP you won't regret it.
