We were in the restaurant(?) last week and have never been so appalled at the sight and condition of a Black Bear. Smelled of burnt food,, unvacuumed carpets, filthy bathroom, no soap or paper towels. The cook was eating the entire time that he was preparing the food, which meant he was putting his hand to his mouth regularly. The one wait person showed no interest in doing the job. The food was pedestrian at best. Not one to write reviews good or bad, but this seem... read more

Had the worst server. Food was fine, but Jessica left a lot to be desired. She was so busy fussing with her tickets she didn’t deliver food. Every time an order came up, she looked at it, rushed over to the counter by the dessert and wrote things down and 2-3 minutes passed she took the food to be served. I don’t appreciate a serve that feels it’s ok to sit down or kneel on the opposite side of you when you order. Stand up and be professional. She’s not my friend to enter the booth.

We were seated quickly. We immediately asked the young man that seated us if the Black Bear Diner offered that great cornbread at breakfast. He said he didn't know but would go find out. He immediately left and we never saw him again until we paid. There was none of the typical music that we have enjoyed several times at the Klamath Falls location. The waitress was business like and polite but certainly not as friendly as we had expected. We ordered our breakfast with a side of bacon. We received our pancakes and Fren... read more

I specifically looked for a Black Bear Diner having enjoyed the experience in Modesto, CA. We were visiting in the area of Bend, Oregon and it was morning and time for breakfast so googled BBD. Mistake to visit the BBD in Redmond, Oregon. The help seemed not to know their jobs. It took minutes to get seated because everyone seemed to be visiting behind the counter. It took minutes to get a cup of coffee. A lifetime when you are a coffee drinker. Finally a waiter came to take our order. I had to ask at that time for t... read more

Went to get a take out order was asked to go to the bar to order. To have host take my order at the request of what I assume was a server. Then had to go back up to host station to pay. Then I sat down at the bench in the waiting area to be ignored for 30 minutes. I watch people leave that arrived after I did because they got skipped in seating. I watched as 2 Togo orders were bagged and set on a counter with no heat lamp on it. I then waited 15 minutes before having to get in the way for anyone to check. This resultant n... read more

Service sucked! We sat there for over 15 mins waiting for our orders to be taken. We proceed to order and then the staff waited another 10 mins to tell my partner that they were out of what he wanted. Our waitress didn’t check on us after we got our food. It wasn’t even busy. There was maybe 2 more families dining.

Ordered online, apparently the order couldn't be accessed by the front person. I had to tell her the items in the order to get the food I prepaid for. She tried to charge me for the food. She said she didn't know that a drink was on the order. There was No gravy for either my chicken fried steak or my biscuits. (Unfortunately I didn't realize the gravy had been withheld until I returned home). When I requested butter, something that was requested on the order, she brought over a handful of loose butter pads. She kept saying ... read more
