I ordered a steak which was undercooked. I sent it back and it returned undercooked so I ont ate the edges that was crisp. when I went to pay, the clerk asked how my meal was and I said it was terrible. she asked why and after I explained, she replied it's the chance I take when ordering a steak at a non steak house. unacceptable....
We arrived at the restaurant at 6:45, with a group of 11. We were not greeted for five minutes, and as we about to leave, a waiter approached the front. We were told that we wouldn't be able to get one table, so we offered to split into two tables. He said he would have to check and then left for several more minutes. As we were seated we were asked what we'd like for drinks. We didn't actually get those drinks until after our meals were delivered to the table. At that point the waitress said she would go get our missing muffins. We never did get them ... nor did we get the fruit bowl we had ordered with out meals (an alternative to green beans). The restaurant is so understaffed. We keep trying but it never gets better. Sat for 25 min without anyone even coming to take an order. I had to get the young man that was clearing tables to get us a cup of coffee
Never ever deliberately withheld tip, but this time I did. Meatloaf: requested gravel on the side. Came drowned in gravy plus an extra bowl of gravy for $1.39. Asked if wanted loaded baked potato -- yes. Not informed that's another $.99. Floors/carpet were dirty; 20 mins. to receive water. Classic burger order came as a cheeseburger with processed cheese. On a VERY flimsy bun typical of fast food. Would not accept a Discover credit card. We shall certainly to go there again. Waiter could not explain this.

Have always love Black Bear Diner, my kids make fun of me I talked it up so much. So when my Brother and his family from Calif were visiting and they wanted to eat out, I said Black Bear diner Yes! What a disaster, The staff acted like they were in their first day at middle school they had not a clue how to serve in a restaurant. The food and service were decent. I did however want to bring up that our server stole our credit card information. I used this card for the first time in over a month at your establishment and now am having to get a new card because of a charge made to grubhub.com online for $167 dollars and the transaction was made from an IP address in Redmond and the only place we have used the card out of controlled purchases was this establishment.
