While the wait staff was excellent, our food was not. My daughter ordered a smaller portion of the Turkey Club with onion rings. First, her order came out with fries. Simple mistake that the waitress fixed right away. But a few bites into her sandwich she noticed a burnt taste and took the sandwhich apart to find that the cooks had completely burnt the bread and tried to hide it by putting it on the inside. took 10 min to get sat at a table for 6 people with hardly any people in there, then it was 30 min before anyone took our order, a big group of people came in after us and they were taken care first when I see other people who were there not getting service to. the food was very good but the service was horriable not one time did the waiter come back to our table to ask if things were allright the only time the waiter came back to the table was to give us the bill. this isn't the first time the service was bad in this place.... read more

I had the fresh salmon. It was far for being fresh and and the cook doesn’t know how to cook it. Extremely over cook, very dry. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said she here’s it all the time.

First the lady that was supposedly in charge through a fit when we put a high chair at our booth. I understand that it may not be code but the way she delt with us and argued with co workers in front of everyone was very un professional and made us uncomfortable. We almost left.

Just when you don’t think it can get any worse we give it one more try this time the food was horrible, cold, meat was fatty and gross, potatoes were bitter, my husbands salmon was watery and white unfavorable mushy. All in all one of the worse meals we’ve ever had. Last time we were here I had to send my steak back because it was so dry and tough you couldn’t cut it. I want my money back we spent 40 bucks even including the tip i got the taxo salad my wife got the valcano breakfast and my son had a single pancake with chocolate chips and a grilled cheese and fries. My wifes food was luke warm and she only could eat a quarter of it. it was bland and disgusting. My taco salad was incredibly bland and gross and a mess and the ranch was bland and clumpy like it was old not from the bacon. Waitress was overwhelmed and understaff. Shared with us that she is the assistant manager and received no training and didn't even know how to enter a gift certificate we had....dinner group of 18 coming in and dinner crowd and only 3 waitress on duty. Ordered rye toast and it was delivered burnt on both sides of the toast. This was a return visit for us as the last time we were given a gift card because we were over charged and there was something in my omelet that was hard and unable to recognize. This is the second time in the last 2 months that I have came in for lunch, the employees are friendly, but not very assertively, Both times, after ordering, we saw our meal's set up under the warming light's and they sat there for a long time.... around 10 minutes, which is unacceptable. The server was rude, the food was cold and over cooked. And the server was at the table behind us telling other customers not to buy the wine that it is cheap and disgusting. I’ve been going to black bear diner for years and this is the worst experience we have ever had at a black bear diner.
