Service was exceptional. Portion was huge, had enough leftovers for the next day. Not over priced for the quality and quantity.
I can't even begin to tell y'all how much I love this place. I have been to a few other black bear diners, but THIS location has them ALL beat. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Super clean too. The atmosphere here has a very homey and comfortable. The portions are HUGE, so come hungry. The manager Gio is super chill and friendly, something that has been lacking in a few of my reviews
What a suprise! Good food, service & overall experience. Went with 3 girlfriends that are used to bougie places but I convinced them to try & now they can't wait to return and bring another friend. Thank you to our server Rudie for being so welcoming & patient with us.

It has been literally 30 years since I've eaten at this location! What used to be the "Iron Skillet" is now the Black Bear Diner. Back then, my buddy Shane's dad was a truck driver - and told us the chicken fried steak was good - and man, was it! I don't want to be too disparaging but I was expecting better. I've been to Black Bear Diner in other states and also the one in Katy and loved it. This just isn't the same. I'm guessing because it's smaller and in a truck stop. They're under staffed for the business they had on a Sunday afternoon. I could tell they were doing their best. The floors were filthy with past patrons dropped food and it took forever for us to receive our order. I don't believe we got any refills either. It was ok.
