Was surprised to see the female that met me was pulling multiple roles at the time of my visit; she greeted me, sat me and was also my server. With that said, she was great and very attentive while balancing all the roles I just mentioned. Dining room and bathrooms were clean. The layout of the dining room is divided into by a partition wall that allows to see across the entire area but requires guests on the right side (smaller area) to either walk completely around the entire or cut through the hostess/register area. ... read more

I went a few months ago and had a horrible experience. I left a 1 star review, which I no longer see on here. It's been removed. Anyway, after I left the review, I was contacted by a manager at this location. She offered to make things right, and they did. When we went back, they took care of us. It wasn't that busy, so there was no wait. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was really good. I can honestly say they made up for the bad experience I had the first 2 times I went. 1st time, we didn't get wa... read more

Came to black bear to enjoy a nice birthday breakfast. We came around 10am on a Friday and it was quite busy. There's ample parking so we didnt have issues with that. We were luckly seated right away. Our server was great and quick with drinks. I love that they offer fresh orange juice! We decided to get the bear's Choice which was large enough for us to share. The food was great and I definitely enjoyed it. Loved the family ambiance and felt like I was eating in a cozy cabin. Much more appealing than IHOP or Denny's.

I always like black bear diner the foods great and the portions are massive, this place does get packed quick so sometimes there is a wait but I'd say it's worth it. Staff is quick and helpful

The chicken fried steak is top notch and the grits are prepared perfectly. Friendly and knowledgeable waitress, absolutely love this place!
