If I hadn't mentioned before, this is the best diner I'd been to and I've been to many. This morning I took my wife to Black Bear for an enjoyable breakfast before work today since we both love going there for good food and friendly restaurant staff. Today we were well taken care of by Cynthia which greeted us as we were taken to our table. After we had completed our meal we again loved seeing what dessert treats they displayed up front by the registers, looking forward to our next visit before Christmas.

(Again - the only person in the place) The food was not cooked to order and the service was terrible. The food was pretty good. We had chili with corn bread. Our waitress checked on us several times initially. Then things went downhill. We did not get refills. Our table was not bused. We waited 10 minutes to order dessert and the dirty dishes weren't removed until after dessert was delivered. Our server was busing all the tables and running the cash register while two other employees hung out at the bar chit chatting. Very unprofessional! The bread pudding and brownie sundae were excellent. Our waitress tried hard but she w... read more
Not satisfied at all after visiting twice after my initial review. This specific Black Bear Diner really needs to improve; and fast, before they go under. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and decor, but the service and food are lacking severely. I visited on a Sunday, not busy at all. Waited maybe 30 minutes for our food to come out and our waitress did not come back a single time to ask for any refills. We also overheard another table that was also bothered by the wait time. I really wanted to like this place, b... read more
One word awful in every regard. Food, service, ambience........all awful. I wouldn't go here again if you gave me a meal for free.
Chicken fettuccine alfredo awesome! Denver omelette had raw onions and bell peppers and pot roast and meatloaf not so tasty.
