Came to black bear to enjoy a nice birthday breakfast. We came around 10am on a Friday and it was quite busy. There's ample parking so we didnt have issues with that. We were luckly seated right away. Our server was great and quick with drinks. I love that they offer fresh orange juice! We decided to get the bear's Choice which was large enough for us to share. The food was great and I definitely enjoyed it. Loved the family ambiance and felt like I was eating in a cozy cabin. Much more appealing than IHOP or Denny's.

I always like black bear diner the foods great and the portions are massive, this place does get packed quick so sometimes there is a wait but I'd say it's worth it. Staff is quick and helpful

Christmas lunch was terrible! After being seated, our waiter, Michael was very attentive and apologetic. My daughter and I ordered our meals. I ordered the SPC LT Holiday Turkey Dinner which was a disaster. First of all, I understand the restaurant was very busy on this Christmas day. Food is quality, comfort diner food and the wait staff are very nice. However, the restaurant is not dog friendly at all, in fact I would say that they are pet HOSTILE! We came with our dog on Friday and told that they only allow dogs on the weekends when they open the patio. Understandable. We returned the next day, Saturday with our dog and were humiliated by the hostess yelling at us that they only allow service animals. I tried twice to go the the restaurant. The first time I had my dog and (despite saying they were pet friendly in multiple places online) I was turned away because I had my dog and told they only allowed dogs on the weekend (when their patio was open). I went back that weekend (their patio was open), asked to be added to the waitlist and was berated by a staff member loudly enough that people outside could hear (not to mention everyone in the resultant). Does not have a diabetic menu even tho advertised that they are diabetic friendly. No other options either.

My friend sent her young daughter for some change and the old lady had so much attitude when telling her no they couldn't give out change (was going towards the waitress tip!) that it literally had her daughter on the verge of tears.
