We have been going to Black Diner in San Rafael since we moved here in August. The staff is very friendly but there is some significant areas for improvement in service and food preparation. If there are managers on site, they need to provide guidance. Even when not busy the servers seem to be disorganized and it takes a while to be served. Some of the worst food I have had in a long time. How can you screw up a breakfast? My pancakes came with crunch, the vegetables in my omelet were not fresh, the ketchup they have is some awful brand x of their own to save money. Really folks, if you cant afford Heinz, you shouldnt be in business. My teenage daughter refused to finish her meal it was so bad.
