Went there today for breakfast , how sad, after being in business for a little more than a year, it looks like a dying restaurant. Food is awful and flavorless, dirty condiments and extremely slow service It doesn't look like anybody cares about their job Good luck new owner , cause you really need it

Our daughter came and raved about the food and the portions so we stopped for breakfast before golfing to check it out. We'll skip this place next time. The coffee is weak and the "half & half" is served in small individual plastic containers. Yuck. My husband wanted a pastry and found the Cinnamon Roll French Toast on the menu. It was good, hit the desired sweet spot, but didn't come as advertised - no powdered sugar or icing drizzle. I ordered a short stack with a side of 2 eggs. If you want semi-friendly service with cold food that takes a VERY long time to come, then you should come here. Unfortunately, the only positive I have to say about this location is the variety on the kids menu.

So stopped in for a quick bite of lunch on Sunday afternoon. Have been wanting to try them since they opened. Liked the broad menu and the philosophy of the restaurant but the service just didn't square up with what they say their mission is. No one greeted me and after standing at the entrance for a while I flagged down a waiter and said I was happy to sit at the counter since there was just one and wanting to get a quick bite. Was in the mood for hot turkey open face sandwich so decided to try Black Bear. Seems like a hard order to ruin but they did. The turkey was real carved turkey and the mashed potatoes were good. However they covered it all in a goopy thick "gravy" that was obviously canned in a factory months ago. It had a horrible taste and doughy texture that could only be matched by a school cafeteria. Boooooooooooooo! $$$$$$$$ - way too much money for low grade food served with poor service! I had a Denver Omelet with a soda and it was below average at best and SUPER EXPENSIVE $17.99 - are you firgging kidding me? This is a Denny's grade place with prices of a 4 star restaurant. NEXT!

Awful service. We got to Black Bear Diner at 11:00 a.m. We were promptly seated and the server that sat us was engaging and funny. Unfortunately, she was not our waitress. I won't mention her name, but I found out she'd been there over a year, so, no excuse. She brought our drinks, answered a question about the soup of the day and walked away. Food was awful, oily, and 2 sweet. Not my cup of tea. Bathroom was dirty and smell. Server are so so. Not going there again!!

This food was cold when served. Boring and bland tasting. Came for dinner, maybe breakfast is better.
