We sat by ourselves waiting in the lobby as multiple employees walked past us and didn’t sit us. Finally after 15 minutes we were sat. Our server took her sweet time to greet us and get us drinks. Then after waiting for about 30 minutes we got cold food with uncooked hash browns and overdone eggs. My drink sat there empty, we didn’t get silverware and then when paying for it we tried to complain and the manager who didn’t even bother to actually speak to me and ask what was wrong let the server take 15% off. How I managed to get a rotten avocado over my California omelette boggles my mind. (See pictures below.) There were also stray pieces of jalapeño throughout and mushrooms that hadn't been completely cooked, for some reason. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time there's something wrong with a BB takeout order..it's almost like the cooks know when it's for takeout and they take the liberty to screw up on purpose. We waited over an hour for the kitchen to make for breakfast meals because they were short staffed. Embaracing to bring guests to because we debated leaving for 30 minutes. Wait staff avoided coming by and never told us what was going on until our food was finally delivered.
It took a few minutes to be seated, as the cashier and another waitress was restocking with their backs turned, and an employee couple were embracing at the counter. No one noticed my arrival. Employees in the back were very loud and boisterous, as if the store had already closed for the night and a party was underway. They were laughing, joking and shouting at one another. We ordered at 7.20pm food did not arrive until 8.40pm ! Even then my daughters meal came 10 minutes after that! Arguments between servers and line cooks visible to diners. Dining room was quiet not even half capacity. Absolutely no reason for such terrible service. This was not a server issue this was a kitchen problem . for the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks we dined.the table-chairs were not clean. the placemats are glued to the table with syrup and we had to ask the server to wipe off the chairs.i think it would be time to send one of your top mgmt. team to this location.after eating at other locations the sandy store is the worst. other resturants have failed at this location. i have noticed your business is slower, no problem getting a table
We visit the restaurant frequently & love the food. A good friend is staying with us so we took her there to introduce her to Black Bear & we were disappointed - usually it's great but on this occasion the food & service were lacking. The waitress didn't acknowledge us for 8 minutes & then finally came by, it was another 10 minutes before she brought our drinks & we could order. We arrived at about 5:15 pm and the hostess then seated us without asking us if we wanted a booth or table even tough it was obvious that we would need a table since I am recovering from knee surgery. After being seated at a booth, we waited about about ten minutes without anybody asking if they could take our order or bring us water we then left. We tried to tell the cashier what had happened but he was no where to be found. It was not very busy at the time. You've lost a customer.
