I've always wondered what a Black Bear diner might have...I mean is it typical food that bears eat or just a catchy name? I had only been inside ine of these places once before and it was for a pickup order. My second time around, I had a chance to dine in and soak in the ambience of BBD. For one, we came early in the morning around 730 for breakfast and there were a few pocket of people inside. I was so surprised by the good, fresh tasting food. While my side salad was lack-luster, the chicken pot pie was wholesome and I could taste each and every ingredient. The crust was perfect and I ate the entire thing! Highly recommend if you want some comfort food.
It was my family's and i first time here. It was a great a experience! We had a really awesome server, his name is Miguel. He gave really great recommendations on the food and was always there to see if we were okay or if we needed anything. We will definitely ask for him next time!
We will often go to BBD. It is good for good ole American food. Nothing special, nothing bad. Just normal.
Excellent food. Prices reasonable. Chicken fried steak excellent. Blackened salmon is to die for.
Quintin is one of the nicest people I have come across in the service industry in a long time. I ordered a very serious pregnancy craving item through DoorDash and it was unfortunately canceled due to DoorDash not giving the options for substitutes etc....So of course I called to place a pick up order/see if they had what I wanted available lol. Miguel gave us a excellent service!!! First time here and his Recommendations were really good the potato soup of the day delicious. We ordered the hobo omelette and the lemon pancakes where fantastic. A lot of really good flavors. The food came in quickly and the coffee was really good!!! We'll be back. Thank you Miguel!
Staff is pretty good. Food is above average. I have been multiple times and quality/service is consistent. Can't say there is anything memorable about food. The salad was huge!!! It was good. The pancakes are good. Also nothing beyond special. If you are looking for big breakfast in the sugar land are, this is the place.
Great service, great workers and the food delicious I 100% recommend for lunch and there chicken fried steak is delicious
