In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Only because they just opened and still learning - food was delicious and came out quickly, but we did have a long wait once sat for someone to come take our drink order then food order. The older couple beside us waited longer and weren't helped until after us, even though they were sat before us. I'd love to give a 5 once they learn and can keep up with the crowds a bit better 😁

Been a to Black Bear diners going since I lived in Sonoma, CA. So happy to know they finally opened one in Tucson, AZ! My son and I had our favorite Gizz Breakfast! Not for the faint of appirites. Thank you for a great meal! But, most of all. For bringing the whole Black Bear to the Sonoran Deasert !

Great service! Coffee cup stayed fulll and breakfast was excellent! Lots of great food items on the menu and we will be back!
