Not like most Black Bear Diners. Two bad experiences, first time service was terrible, after about a month thought we would give them a second chance. Food was old and cold. First time I've ever sent a breakfast back!

Sadly I believe I gave a good review on the diner before, they were good, friendly and clean. The owners changed and it is disappointing. Garbage outside on the brick work and in the front, the front windows are horrible since it's the first thing you see, the service is friendly but slow and the food tastes like it could be left overs. Our cornbread muffin was so hard it needed a sharp knife to cut. I choose the special prime rib it was old (I know this is a coffee shop but I have had it before and was fresh and good.). We've been to this establishment before as well as the one in Modesto and this last visit was less then exciting. There is something seriously wrong with the employees here. My wife says its not their fault and that it is management that is failing to keep the employees trained properly. When we walked in, there were already customers lined up at the register trying to pay their bills but no employee in sight at the register. asked for the open face turkey sandwich with yellow turkey gravy. A young man delivered it with beef gravy, told him the mistake and he took it back, then brought it back out with sausage gravy. Told him it was wrong and that I asked for yellow turkey gravy to which he now stated they don't have it. So I canceled my order. Waiter shows up, I explain and he proceeds to tell me they do have the turkey gravy. Count our losses and as we pay the bill the wife points out some cream pies and the kid behind the counter has NO idea w... read more

Omg I overheard the conversation of the waitress getting fired when she told her table. She handled it professionally, but what they did was absolutely disgusting. I've decided to never go back until the management is replaced!
