Met a friend for a post Christmas breakfast. The food was great. There was only 1 server for the entire restaurant at 8am. Once we ordered and the food came, she was too busy with all the other tables to come back. We requested to split the tab 50/50 which took 3 people and about 15 minutes to accomplish. In a haste, we clicked on the lowest tip option, just to get out of there. The lowest tip option ended up being 33%! The 18% was the lowest predestinated options, but it was on the entire bill. Had a meal with my family on Christmas day here and my server was Scott (Star Trek) he was very friendly and helpful and attentive, service was excellent and quickly served. We had a wonderful time dinning here, we travelled from another city so we definitely will be coming back! Thanks Scott!

Just had Turkey Dinner.... Meat was moist and temperature perfect!...Cornbread also was moist and fresh. Service provided by Scott was EXCELLENT and made my experience. Definite place to stop off 101 going south!

Black Bear Diner is a good choice for breakfast. Easy access, lots of parking and plenty of booths and tables. I like the calorie counts on the menu- encourages me to at least try to hold on to my diet goals... Service is friendly and quick. The prices reasonable and decor goes for "family diner" very nicely.

Malina was great!! Best American server we ate with. We order breakfast and it was delicious and hot. fast service
