There a few days ago. Our waiter Scott was friendly and serving. also the rest of the staff friendly and professional. Good job Appreciate the 'little less' menu too
The burgers were great and the service by Scott was excellent. He took time to greet all his tables and get each person's name. We especially liked the desserts (brownie sundae and cheesecake) and even went back the next day for dessert and coffee.

Scott and staff are the best servers. The best we had in California. Very attentive, polite and really just super nice. The food was great, fresh, hot and delicious. I wish we had one near us in Philadelphia, like this Diner. The restaurant was clean, and well lit. Thank you for a great dining experience!

I was looking for a restaurant to rest and catch up on the cellphone. Black Bear Diner is located a block from the Ventura highway, mere blocks from the beach. This is exactly what I was looking for. Menu is immense. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available. I had two eggs over easy, sausage and a waffle. There was so much food I could only eat half of it.
