First time trying this new diner I was impressed. I was greeted with a friendly and positive attitude. The food choices is amazing. The atmosphere of the diner is very comforting and wow was I surprised with the amount of food they serve you for the price you pay. Again it was an amazing experience and can't wait to go again.

5 star review is for the delicious food and the Manager Ashton , and Charity our waitress . There was an issue with the time it took to get our food (almost an hour ) and a female manager rolling her eyes at us , but Charity kept our drinks filled and had a great attitude. Ashton heard our complaints and really stepped up to get our food out and make sure we were good . The food once out , was so yummy . Best chicken fried steak we have had.

The pot roast was unbelievably great. I be a regular at Black Bear! My sister said she likes the pancakes and the baco.

I ate there today, the 25th and I had the Bear's Choice Breakfast. I chose eggs over easy, ham and waffles. The food was tasty. The only complaint I had was that I had to go looking for a waiter to get a refill on my water. I will definitely will eat there again.

When I heard Black Bear was opening a Waco location I did a happy dance and after a long wait for it to open it did not disappoint. Food was amazing and plentiful and the service was very good considering staff are still getting a feel for the job. Thanks to our server Jazz for a pleasant breakfast experience. We will definitely be going back often.

The atmosphere was good, a lot of seating. The dessert case looked amazing. Wait staff still in training , they only been open 2 days. But this will be my new spot..once they get the food right. And staff trained like the other locations.

Went to Black Bear Dinner in Waco, TX after church Sunday, it wasn't a positive experience!!! The wait to be seated wasn't long, however things then slowed down. By the time we got our meals, the only thing warm was the biscuit and the coffee. Everything else was cold. The over easy eggs I ordered came out as medium hard. We took everything home and reheated so we could have a warm meal. Not sure if we'll go back.

First & LAST time eating at Back Bear Diner in Waco. We waited a solid hour for our food to arrive after ordering! Waitress was friendly but tried to give us other patron's meals 3x. We had to ask what was up & we're told "the kitchen messed up your order & it dropped." What does that mean? I had to practically trip her to get a refill on coffee. Food was lukewarm when finally served. Cheese not melted on eggs. "Pumpkin pancakes" were regular pancakes with a light drizzle of "pumpkin sauce." Very disappointing experience. Mg... read more

I ordered a glass of milk never got it and the biscuits and gravy was very little gravy. I ordered sausage and got bacon??? Ate it and moved on!
