I have never written a review like this, but the experience we had at this restaurant was deeply upsetting and unacceptable. My group and I came in, were seated, and asked for waters. After waiting over 20 minutes, we noticed that the three groups who arrived after us had already been greeted, served drinks, and had their orders taken--while we still had nothing. In the past times I've been here, the service and food was good. However, I was there last night for the All You Can Eat Fish Fry. When we drove up my friend was wondering why the parking lot was almost empty since he always goes to the crowded one in St George. I said it's less crowded and we can get seated quickly, instead of waiting 30 minutes for a table. So that's a plus. Although I love the Blackbear Diner and their food is good. I am tired of going in there and freezing. It is always extremely cold in there whether it is in the summer or winter. Your food get cold fast and then you can't enjoy your food because you have to hurry an eat before it gets cold and you are too cold to take your time and enjoy your meal. I have tried it several times and won't be back.

They hide bacon in the ranch dressing without telling you here. Perfect way to ruin your night if your body doesn't do pig meat.

everything was really good but at the end when paying the old lady who checked us out gave me an attitude and nasty looks this really ruined the end of our experience

Food was alright but took forever to come out. The food took 30 minutes to come out. We had been sitting for 20 minutes before we were even greeted. Server had a slight attitude and just could tell he didn't want to be here.

Went for dinner staying at a close hotel. Was pretty inedible. We had the pot roast and the open faced turkey "sandwich". Pot roast was dry and had little flavor. Broccoli was the best part..which I ate most of. I had the turkey. Was layers of deli meat. Dry, preformed...not good. Gravy was from a mix. Mashed potatoes were ok....hard to mess those up. But we left most of it on the plate. Sad when broccoli is the best part of the meal. Please do yourself a favor and dont eat here.....or just stick to the br... read more

We tried Black Bear Diner Washington again, seemingly forgetting about the last two horrible times we were there. And once again, we were galactically dissatisfied. Met and sat by a grumpy hostess, served by a server that clearly wanted to be somewhere else, and decided not to bring us our drink order. We left before we had to endure anymore. Avoid this place for dinner. I would give them no stars if that was a choice, Went there last night for dinner for the first time and had a horrible experience. First, they were out of shrimp and said it was being removed from the menu. Strange since there are more than 8 items on the menu that include shrimp. Second, they were out of the daily soup.
