Get directionsDad lived at Blenheim for a little over 3 years. He was always happy and settled. His care and the affection shown towards him were exemplary. Blenheim understood the man he had become and appreciated the man he had been. His end of life care at this surreal time was superb. Blenheim always went the extra mile. Their gentleness towards him and us, as a family, will always be remembered. We will forever be glad we chose Blenheim as his home.
My Mum has been living at Blenheim since being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. As her symptoms progressed over the years she has been looked after in an exemplary manner by absolutely everyone throughout and as she is so happy and content, we as a family are happy and content in the knowledge she is experiencing as full a life as she can. She is in such loving and capable hands. COVID-19 has been a challenging and difficult time for everyone. The staff at Blenheim have been empathetic and totally professional, keeping me up to d... read more
We have been so impressed by the care and support Mum has received in the short time she has been at the home. Due to the national lockdown, we have been unable to visit her or even see the home and her move there came about due to the pandemic. She had been in several hospital wards for assessment after her illness. Very quickly, we were comforted and our worries were soothed by nothing but kindness and patience at such a difficult time. From the receptionist through to the nurses and carers, we received updates and message... read more
My mum was admitted into Blenheim one week before the Covid-19 lockdown and therefore we've been unable to see her. This has been distressing for all of us. The activities team have been outstanding at organising various events to help keep the residents entertained. Mum experienced a swim with penguins using the virtual reality equipment and we were able to see her enjoying this on Blenheim's Facebook page. The team also organised a Facetime call with Mum, it was so lovely to see her face, happy and smiling. The activities ... read more
My father has been at Blenheim for 6-months now, it was a very difficult decision to make, but his Parkinson’s made it difficult for him to stay home. We looked at a couple of other care homes, and Blenheim was by far the best that we saw. Dad has a lovely light room with an en suite bathroom, which we felt was a necessity. The staff are very kind, caring and friendly and Dad loves a bit of a joke with them, it keeps him quite chipper. The food is amazing, Dad starts the day with a delicious cooked breakfast, followed by a t... read more
My mother recently celebrated her 102nd birthday at Blenheim House at a very difficult time for all care homes during the lockdown. The Home gave her the most wonderful day and although we were so sad not to be able to be with her, she had a really lovely time. Mum was absolutely thrilled by the whole thing and phoned me up immediately she returned to her room to tell me about it. A special friend of hers was also brought in to join in, along with the staff - though at a distance of course. Mum said that she was amazed to be... read more
Extremely impressed when we were asked to look around the home in early 2019, for our mother. Spacious, clean, with many facilities for residents. It was the right choice to make to ensure the safety of our mum. The teams of Carers are fantastic and have assisted greatly with the comfort and well being of my mum since she has been residing here and nothing is too much trouble. It is so nice to visit and take my mum out to the magnificent gardens with so many features which she dearly loves and enjoys or to have a coffee and ... read more
My Father moved into Blenheim House Care Home in February 2020. We were dreading having to put him into a care home but Dad and ourselves were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. There are so many activities going on every day to suit all residents. The staff are absolutely amazing with Dad which in turn gives us peace of mind and we know he's being so well looked after and cared for. Blenheim is a home I'd highly recommend......you won't be disappointed. Dad has settled in so well and his room is amazing.... read more
The care has always been of a gold star standard. I did not imagine it could get better. However, the standard of care during COVID19 excels the normal gold standard. As a relative I can say we have been kept informed every step of the way, care for the residents has continued to be of gold standard despite a national pandemic. I have been sent photos, videos had online chats with my mother. Daily postings demonstrate the staff at Blenheim House are ensuring the pandemic is not affecting the residents' daily activities - bir... read more
