All the carers from Bluebird Care are brilliant, really good, really patient really kind. My parents are not the easiest people to look after they are very stuck in their ways. They do not think they need help but without the help from the carers and supervisors one or both of my parents would have wound up in hospital again. We are very grateful for the flexible and efficient service provided in supporting us to look after mum. Whatever problem reared its head the Bluebird team were there to help us manage all the complexities of daily care.
The Bluebird Carers have always proved to be a skilful, thoughtful, caring and responsive group. Having dementia, my mother doesn't actually remember them individually, but she is always pleased to see them when they arrive, calling them her “blue angels”. We started with Bluebird when my husband was much more able than he is now, and we have increased the support they provide for us, including some residential care for me to have a break. Bluebird is providing care and support for my aunt. They have been very professional in dealing with her and have helped her with personal care, cleaning and ordering foodstuff as well as preparing breakfast and snacks for her during the day. She has been very pleased with the level of help they provide, and the care workers are always very kind and helpful towards her.
Bluebird, have been offering care for my father initially on a companionship basis, but now on a care basis. They have been totally reliable and flexible in meeting my father's needs. They prepare food, change beds to do his washing, and once a week takes him shopping. They arrange social events which they take him to and from. He really appreciates his visits; which are currently at lunchtime and early evening. His needs will increase, and we will review his care as the situation changes. Bluebird Care has provided a very good service generally for my 90-year-old Mum and 93-year-old Aunt who share a house together. All the office staff are very efficient, and always act promptly on requests and queries. The carers are attentive and thorough, ensuring that everything is in order before they leave. Best of all, they are cheerful and good company for these two elderly clients. When there was a recent emergency; their care and support was really excellent - not leaving until the situation was resolved.
My father is pleased with the service. I like the facility to read the care notes.
