Beware, this dealer has taken away the joy that I had in owning my car. They refuse to stand behind the 4 year warranty. Additionally, they "shake you down" for work that is not required, under the threat: do you want your BMW to be like new again, or don't you. I escalated my concerns to the Service Manager and the General Manager. I even called the national headquarters. All I can say, is stay away from both Chapman and from BMW. This is my first time going to CHAPMAN BMW, I just move here from NY. Here is my experiment. My sale man is very friendly and professional. We have some negotiation with the price, but overall, I'm satisfied with the price. Nonetheless, the service is not that great. My car need to get a touch up done, I purchased the car on Thursday and they told me that it should be ready to pick up by Tuesday's morning. 1. Let me start by saying we customers can attempt to grind for the lowerst price but everybody has to make a living and I want the dealer to be around for repairs. 2. I marked the price as Good rather than Great because I found a 335i in MA with the same options except one. Taking the lack of that option into consideration their price was approx. $500 less than the Chapman price. Service department found over 4000.00 of repairs needed to my X5. I was just in before the warranty expired for them to check it over, they found NO problems. 7,000 miles later they found eight, these problems were there long before the warranty expired but they chose not to fix them or tell me about them. They now will not do anything about it. I was told by one of their employees that while a car is under warranty, they are not to fix any problem or bring it to the customers attention.
