Purchased pre-owned BMW had issues. The service department said nothing was wrong, I could tell there was. They didn't want to address since I had just purchased. Returned car to me with no gas, had a full tank when given to them. Took car to another BMW dealer, found the problem and they fixed. Crooks at this location.
Very disappointing. No interest in retaining customers or doing "what's right". First month of ownership, car in my possession 8 days. Multiple returns to store for noises and service light. No coordination for drop-off with loaner car after purchase. Won't return phone calls and staff doesn't know who's in office when trying to find out where car is for service. They want you to buy, but then they don't stand behind the purchase or their product. Overall, very unsatisfied.
Last week, I brought the car in for an oil change. The service advisor told me that we would also be due for a brake system flush and air filter replacements in a couple months and recommended that those be performed as well. I told him I’d hold off and only get the oil changed since that was all that the car was due for. (I would never pay to have someone replace air filters for me). At the time, he clearly acknowledged my request. When I went to pick up my car, however, my bill was $615.00. The advisor that I had worked wi... read more
The following review was written prior to having my issues addressed by the appropriate personnel. My original overall star rating was 1.6. The below review was written about two weeks before most of my issues were resolved: I went to the BMW store to trade in a used car and purchase a used BMW X5. While I understand they couldn't do much to change the price, they made a few promises to me on which they didn't follow-through. The car I purchased was extremely dirty because of the construction being completed at the dealershi... read more
Business response:
jblooney- Throughout our communications we understand that your experience was not perfect and for that we are disappointed! We always strive to make sure our customers are happy and satisfied from the beginning and throughout their entire experience here at The BMW Store. As we can not excuse why an initial follow-up call was not made to you, we thank you for your honest review, as without it we would not have been able to fix what we did not know was wrong. As you know, online reputations are an important and vital part of... read more
I purchased a 2011 BMW 328i. We located the car online and went to the BMW Store with the intent of purchasing. This is the 4th car I have purchased from the BMW Store. I am used to getting good service so this is a bit of surprise to find myself writing this review. Locating a car was easy and the buying process was very easy as we paid cash. My disappointment is due to the quality of the work that was to be done to the care before I picked up the car. There were scratches that were to be buffed out of the car before I took... read more
Usually, I have very little expectations of "Car Sales Associates". All I ever really expect from them is to pass along my purchase offer to someone that can actually make a decision. Today, I can say that Chris Hostetter with The BMW Store in Cincinnati, OH managed to not even meet the most basic expectation required of him by a potential customer. I came across an ad through autotrader.com on Sunday 11/10/13 for a 2011 BMW 328i Xdrive Wagon, 6 speed manual, M package, and Navigation listed for $43,927. As a BMW enthusiast,... read more
This dealership has one of the highest labor charges in the nation. They make their money off of warranty work but as soon as your car's warranty has expired, you are out of luck. (light bulb, their charge $35 for one; 2 for 8.50 at any auto store Phillips OEM). As a pharma rep, if you don't think you pay for the cashews, coffee, donuts, and candy, you are naive. This dealership is about turning cars over before they get mileage on them, they are incredibly customer unfriendly if you need out of warranty work. Don't be foole... read more
Service charges are one of the highest in the nation of all BMW dealerships. Second, I had to bring my car back because it was not repaired properly the first time. Third, this dealiership is unethical-they refuse to honor their warranty.
I was sold a "warranty extension" and 2 1/2 years later told it really was only a "maintenance plan". I have left a message with the person (Chico) service recommended I talk to. I was told he would help me with this issue. He never returned my call. I sent a letter to my salesperson (Jay Sofranec) and the Mini manager (Michael Ingram) to get help. They never contacted me. Then I sent a letter to Richard Winterman, general manager of the BMW Store. He had sent a generic email asking about my recent trip with service. I repli... read more
