I strongly believe they create problems so you have to come back and get them fixed. This is my own speculation based off my experiences. I'm looking into this and reaching out to other BMW dealerships for their opinions. I wouldn't take your car here. I'm incredibly skeptical of their service center.

I brought my car in for an inspection and some repairs. Specifically the major issue was that my wipers weren't working. Brandon called me later to say that the wipers needed a new relay and that this would come to about $150 (in addition to the $100 diagnostic). I was concerned that this was simply replacing the fuse box relay which would take less than one minute and asked Brandon what the repair entailed. tHE PERSON THAT HANDLE MY CAR WAS VERY NEGATIVE ABOUT THE TOTAL OUTLOOK ON SERVICING MY BMW, HE HAD ME GET A TEST DONE THAT WASN'T NEEDED AND ATTEMPT TO HAVE ME GET AN ADDITIONAL TEST DONE ON THE ENGINE, WTIHOUT OFFERING ANY REAL COURSE OF ACTION FOR MY CAR. HE DID TELL ME THAT IF I COULD AFFORD IT THAT I SHOULD THINK ABOUT GETTING RIT OF IT. I live in FL and flew to Pittsburgh on a friday morning to buy my car a 2011 550xi and was planning on driving it down to atlanta that same day, about a 10 hour drive. However I had a trade-in that I shipped up using a transport company referred to me by my salesman that needed to be at the dealership before I could drive off with my new car. Unacceptable service. Parts departments salesperson acted like he was doing me a favor by selling me a halogen headlamp. Service department damaged the rear end of my car and denied responsibility. General manager (Mike Brown) has not returned my calls; I even called BMW customer service - they followed up with the dealer to call me. Still no call! My car broke down with (apparently) no fuel getting to the engine. Tried to start it many times. It would turn over, but never start. It was too far to have it towed to my regular mechanic (I've long since abandoned BMW dealers for after-warranty service as "money-hungry, parts-installing, couldn't-actually-repair-something-if-their-life-dependend-on-it prosperity pimps"). I had a very bad experience with Patty Palermo. She did not get back in a timely manner. She alaways blamed it on the saleman. I have bought two cars from this dealership in the past and at the time the fianance officer was Sam. I will never deal with this dealership again. I ahve also referred other friends and they have bought cars. I will not make any referrals in the futuure

VERY RUDE,SEEMS LIKE HE DOES'NT WANT TO BE THERE....MAYBE HE SHOULD GO WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE...MADE ME AND MY HUSBAND FEEL LIKE WE WHERE BOTHERING HIM....RUDE TO FELLOW EMPLOYEES AS WELL! ALL WE WANTED WAS OUR CAR FIXED...P&W DID NOT FIX CAR....WENT TO A&L MOTORS IN MONROEVILLE,TREATED LIKE ROYALTY!
