WORST customer service ever. I was looking to purchase a car online and found a used M3 that Ferman BMW had. Everything started off fine. I was originally working with Adam and he was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. After we negotiated a price, Adam's sales manager, Jeff Sterns, took over and it was all downhill from there. This dealership is an absolute nitemare. My wife and I purchased a 2007 328I. I already have a 2006 325I that I purchased from Reeves BMW, so it was interesting to see the diffence between the two dealerships. The sale of the car was OK. They tried to get us to put 9,000 down with a 600 monthly payment which was a joke. After threatening to leave they came down to a reasonable price. My husband purchased a 5 series BMW from Ferman. When purchasing he was told that he could easily hook up his iPod with the purchase of an inexpensive cord. When we went to get the cord we were told by the extremely rude receptionist that our salesperson was not available bc he was doing important business (apparently bc we had already purchased a 40k car we were no longer important). I have been a Honda/Acura customer for 25+ years and thought about graduating to a 328i. Loved the ride and handling. Hated how everything was a-la-carte. Not much included in the base model...including floor mats. I know this is the BMW way, but makes it hard to cross the bridge from Honda/Acura to BMW based on this. This dealer has by far the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I am on my third BMW, but it's the first purchased at Ferman. They are sort of OK when the car is under warranty. And by that I mean, barely OK. Even then, they only offer the bare minimum of service. It's a complete hassle trying to schedule a service appnt to begin with, whether the car is still under warranty or not. Took vehicle in for annual oi change and sub-frame inspection. Nothing out of the ordinary other than their on-line information data entered does not transfer to the dealers system, therefore you need to repeat the information when you get there. Average dealership and wait time (2.5 hours). I've been in nicer waiting areas but this was fine.
My wife was the winning bid on EBay Oct29,2009, for a 2005 MercedesBenz. Bid was confirmed and Ferman BMW was told that I would go to my bank to arrange transfer of payment by bank check, please send all documents. Worst customer service EVER!!! They kiss your ass while your car is under warranty. After it's out of warranty, they overcharge for everything. And rather than actually trying to fix problems, they just want to replace every part, even if it only takes minor work/repairs. The parts are way overpriced (for example, they told me I needed a new radiator fan for my mini cooper that they were going to charge $900 for, not including labor costs. I forgot to add in my last review that the 328i I had towed in with a complete system failure was a 2007 with less than 14,000 miles on it. Yes- it was under warranty and yes I did get a car after the second day- but because I didn't have to pay anything they all acted like it was no big deal. So what if I was out on the road- "you have BWM assist" I was told --No dependability equals BYE Bye BMW and Bye Bye Ferman. Its pretty but I need a car and a dealership I can depend on. Very disappointed in the whole encounter.
