Please read this before servicing your vehicle at Richmond BMW--- First, let me start by saying just because you have an appointment doesn't mean you will receive any assistance at your appointment time. I made an appointment for service for 7:30am and waited until 8:15am to be helped. I brought my 2002 5 series to Richmond BMW for servicing for a few repairs including the alarm. The alarm would randomly sound and drain the battery. After $1200, the service manager said everything was fixed including the alarm problem. A day... read more
So I go in to get the oil change and state inspection warranty ran out in Dec 09. But the car was at dealer in Nov. 09 and they check the car and said everything looks good. Now today while getting the oil change on my dime they tell me that the radiator needs flushing has not been flush in over two year and power steering needs flushing also looks a little dark, over $400 to do both. How in the hell can they not see this less then 2 months ago while car is under warranty? But now that it is on my dime they can fine a needle... read more
Worked with their internet sales rep, Tim St. Clair, to purchase an used car. Family had to travel 3 hours to make the purchased. Talked to Richmond BMW 4 times to verify the car was available while enroute only to arrive to find the car driving off the lot sold to someone else. There was no communication between their sales staff and with their customers. They are very unprofessional and little regard for their customers. Avoid Richmond BMW at all cost!
I agree with most posters here. This was the worst dealership of any kind I've ever been to. I think they even charge more than the list price for factory parts... I'll never buy a part, or take my car there, ever since I was told "there's a 3 week wait for the oil change you need." Every time I've been there I have been disappointed with their service and the results.
This is perhaps the worst service department in the United States. I moved around a great deal for work and currently own two BMW's, a 2002 330ci and a 2003 X5 3.0L (my wife). Both cars have been serviced at different dealerships, namely BMW VOB in Maryland, BMW of Arlington and Richmond BMW. Before owning these cars, I owned a 1999 Toyota Camry serviced in Maryland, with a 1995 Honda Accord sedan, serviced by Herson's Honda (awful place) followed by (a bit better) Ourisman's Honda in Bethesda. I believe very strongly in fac... read more
