We expected more from the restaurant. The service was poor (didn't take a drink order first, but took our food order and we had to ask for drinks). The waiter did not check on us regularly and when our meal came, the person bringing us the meal had to remove our appetizer plates. The steaks were not worth the price we paid. Not a very pleasant experience for the money.
It's like coming home. Having been to Bond 45 many times before and loved it, my husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary there. We were greeted enthusiastically by the maitre D' and staff and wisked away to a "special" table. I say this because all the tables at Bond 45 are special. My girlfriend and I pulled in to Bond 45 a bit after 6:30 hoping to eat and be out by 8 for the cirque show down the street. Unfortunately there was a line up at the valet due to an unexpected demand. When the host saw that we were at risk for running late -- he took our keys for us and had our meal in front of us in 10 minutes. The speed of service was amazing. And the food... was mouth watering. Definitely suggest this restaurant for future dining!
We had a great time at Bond 45, as usual. I am glad that they are bringing back the antipasti bar. That is one of their best features and sets them apart from other restaurants.
Best steaks we've had in a long time. Great atmosphere. The appetizers were a bit disappointing--small shrimp, ordinary house mozzarella.
The food was great, our steaks were cooked perfectly, we got the single table we requested and they even gave us a complimentary chocolate chip cookie at the end of our meal! The staff was friendly, accomodating and sharp. We were completely satisfied.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent!
My wife and I hit Bond 45 before Cirque du Soleil, and it was an outstanding way to start the evening. The mozzarella and prosciutto was rich and subtle, the lamb shank ossobuco was tender and flavorful. The real gem of this establishment is the service, which is first-class without being snooty. If you're going to be in Oxen Hill, definitely make a stop here.
Overall I would give this restaurant 3 stars. The service was great and the Drinks were well made. The meal I had however I would not order again. It was the Bond 45 veal steak. Some pounded out, breaded Frisbee with no flavor. My wife really enjoyed her fillet mignon though. So I would chalk it up to what you order. I tried to be adventurous and try something new. Unfortunately new is not always good.
