Huge entree portions and huge prices. $85 double veal chop, anyone? A steakhouse with an Italian accent, Bond 45 prices like a steakhouse. Your $85 veal chop will arrive unaccompanied unless you order a sauce ($3) and a side ($10+), making it a $98 veal chop. Appetizers are similarly priced but do not come in the same overly-generous portions. Service is friendly but scatterbrained. Bring a picnic and dine near The Awakening. You'll get the same view without the aggravation or the need to re-mortgage your home to pay the tab... read more
We had an excellent server (I wish I could remember his name) even though he spilled the wine on my father...accidents do happen! The meat was exceptional, the sides were delicious. The popovers were a little overcooked but still tasty. The only problem was the noise volume in the dining room. My parents are older and we went for their 39th anniversary dinner and they were having a hard time hearing because of the excessive noise.
Dining experience at Bond 45 was great!!! Will definitely return & refer to family/friends.
For a first time diner there, you were made to feel very welcome there. Service was excellent and my dinner was also very good. For the price, my husband thought his dish was slightly "bland" but overall it was a great experience. We will definetly go back.
Great steaks, if a bit pricey, but a nice place to relax and enjoy a big menu with a lot of solid choices. The crab cakes were especially good - very little filler. The "bucket" of chocolate mousse was impressive to say the least, though eating mousse from a plate is a bit odd - not that we didn't do it!
The ambiance and service were great. Wine was excellent. However I was disappointed by the food. I ordered a 12 oz fillet (medium rare) with parmasean roasted potatoes, asparagus and a ceasar salad. My date had an 8 oz ( medium) with lobster. The steaks were very tender but nothing that would make me have to return. I had expected much more having eaten at several steak houses in the DC area. The potatoes tasted frozen and the asparagus was limp. All in all I felt cheated by the food, and like I was paying for the ambiance m... read more
The location, service, and ambiance were outstanding, well worth the trip; however the food was just okay. The price was too expensive for the taste. We frequent fine restaurants and don’t mind paying for good food and fine dining, but I don’t think we would return to Bond 45.
A little disappointed with the food...and for what you get - its way overpriced. Also when serving cocktails in a chipped tea cup, something goes missing.
Late Mother's Day. A bit chaotic - staff ready to call it a day I think. Dinner was good although not great as it has been in the past. They changed the menu and some of the items that we particularly like were gone like Lamb chops and linguini and clams. We'll probably give this place a rest for a while and see if they can get themselves organized and decide what to do with the menu.
