Since BFPC became a VCA practice, it has spiraled downwards. I discovered, after $5,000 worth of tests that resulted in NO diagnosis, that my dogs are gluten intolerant. Drs. Lee and Johnson thought I was nuts. Well, guess what, they are gluten intolerant and if I had not discovered that through my own research, my dogs would be dead. Its sad how vet owners really use their power as abuse . My 5 month old healthy as can be puppy is not required by law to get bloodwork for one but that wasn't a choice i was given but yet the moment i called another vet i sure was offered the choice.) #2 the estimate was $540 when signed and got back to $760 bill...... Now lost our business twice. Customer service is beyond terrible. EVERY time we have ever called about anything - Rx, question about pet's symptoms, etc - call back never comes. Sometimes an unintelligable text arrives about a week later explaining how they were on vacation. I guess they take a lot of vacations. Asked to speak to office manager and was left on hold indefinitely. Vets are unimpressive. They have a new service where they offer Rx through "covetruspharmacy." I needed help the day after a holiday and there was no message saying they were closed. Even when I pressed 1 for emergency it took me to vm that's it.

My dog woke up with a swollen anal gland. I normally see a vet an hour away, but couldn't make it that far today. Called BFPC to get a same day appointment as a new client for gland expression, no problem. Things took a turn for the worst when they quoted me $700, which included a $90 consultation fee, $55 anal gland expression fee, plus cost of pain injection, meds and antibiotics. Staff members were friendly, vets were great. Way over priced for what they do. Prescription meds costs 175% more than other pharmacies. Acepromazine pills cost $3.23 per pill versus $1.25 at Tractor Supply and $1.52 at Chewy.com. No military discount, and if you know nothing about medicine, they will eat you alive. My puppy suffered a broken leg. Took him to this vet clinic for care and they did a good job. I just wanted to inform the public that if you have fur babies at home do not take them to Brentwood family pet care! I have a baby puppy that is under a year old that fracured her metacarpals and this vet proceeded to take 2000$ from our family during regular business hours. They proceeded to bandage her paw and it was a bandage way bigger than her body basically without even a splint. Sent her home with me with pain meds and told me to kennel her. My poor boy has been gone for several months now, I cry every time I think of him, unfortunately the vision I get in my head is when Dr. Riley Blount brought my boy in the room so I could say goodbye, it was the most horrid thing I've ever seen before putting a dog down.
