BEWARE BEFORE vs SORRY LATER On Friday, July 31, I took my dog Sofie to BRENTWOOD FAMILY PET CARE for an ear infection. Dr Kristi Lee, DVM treated her with Clara. Sofie subsequently had an allergic reaction( head tilt, rapid eye movement, vertigo, couldn't eat, etc...)-- which Dr Lee said "would resolve in 1-2 days". August 2nd, phone conversation with Dr. Lee she stated...." would not answer my questions, because I was confused" and she hung up the phone! Don't come here. They over charge, they have no empathy for you and your time. Lost a customer today. Not that they even care. Messed up on their end with our appointment, yet told us they couldn't do anything to help. No empathy, didn't care to make us happy. This is not good customer service. It's your fault and we get screwed. Worst place ever.
I've always had great care and service here but am very unhappy about experience today. After an $1,000 bill, no clinician had time to spend with me to talk about after care and meds? Not cool!

BEWARE!!! I was just charged $138.40 for clean up and bandage services not realizing they were lump in my estimate. During this same time last year our pup developed allergies and had this infection between his second and third toe on his left paw. We took him to Brentwood Family Pet Care, and he was treated with an anti-inflammatory and an anabiotic. We have 4 dogs that go to this place, so you can imagine the amount of money that we have given to this business over the years. They're ok, I've never felt like they really cared about our pets, it's just about the $ to them. But, they're nice enough and do their job. I do feel like they try to upsell services though. So just recently I needed to get 3/4 dogs in for a shot in order to board them. I call to make an appointment and they're booked out like crazy. BEWARE VERY HIGH MARKUP ON PRESCRIPTIONS. We had a prior great experience at this office with Dr. Lee and her staff when our dog needed surgery. Today, we brought our other dog in and they recommended a prescription (Galliprant) for her. We bought it for $168.00 for a 30 day supply. When I got home, I checked 1-800-PETMEDS and the same Rx cost less than half of what we paid. For 2 years I took both my dogs to them. Why them? Sheer convenience that they were less than a mile away. While always a step above average they never oozed genuine care but it was fine as they weren't BAD. Today I really needed them to see my aging dog who has been struggling with getting up & standing up. Old age plays a part in it. I wanted them to see her to ensure she wasn't suffering or in pain. We all got into this profession to help pets. One of the toughest things we do is say no when we're so full that we're physically unable to fit any more patients in. We try and work with every single person to ensure their pets get seen by a doctor. When we are filled past capacity, we're unable to take on more cases without compromising the care of our other patients. This place is OK if you have the luxury of waiting a week to get an appointment But if you pet is sick/injured and need immediate attention they are not accommodating. Be prepared to have to go to the emergency vet for help. We have been bring our pets here for years so it was very discouraging to be told we had to wait a week for a sick pet to be seen. they are also very pricy and want to over charge for everything.
