This vet office is not the greatest. We planned to overlook how dingy the facility is, but we decided to write a review due to challenges over simple things. Foremost, the office seems a bit dirty and the furniture does seem worn down. The massive, old, cracked brown couch they have there comes to mind! All together, the tiny exam rooms, outdated decor, fluorescent lighting, and scratched walls, just don't give an inviting feel. Use caution and a second opinion!!! Do not let this place play on your heart strings and charge you thousands of dollars because you are emotional. I already paid thousands of dollars and prepared to spend 10k on a surgery. I went to another vet and they said we have be scammed!

PLEASE don't take your dog here. There are so many negative issues relating to BRENTWOOD FAMILY PET CARE, putting my beloved dog down. Here are two major issues. My dog was in extreme pain, the vet knew this. I was asked if she could take him in the back to assess his leg, long story short. My boy "bite" (the assistant said he nipped the vet's small finger; it really wasn't anything) the vet. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MUZZLED. I was then told they would have to take his head. Was a client here for years but just changed to a different practice. The charges are higher than i was comfortable with and their policies are business oriented rather than customer/pet oriented. Example 1 Cytopoint injections for a dog with allergy issues -Vial 1 fee $148 -Vial 2 fee $107.50 -All medication visits included an exam fee tacked on as well but i will be fair and not include it...some visits were legitimate follow ups but others i felt i was being forced to pay exam fees for a routine injection visit. If customer service, communication, and honesty are important to you, find another vet. The front desk staff are incompetent at best, so be sure to carefully check all charges to ensure you aren't taken advantage of. I'm not entirely sure if the initial issue we had was the result of them being shady or just bad at their jobs, but their response when confronted was to straight up lie.

I have been going to this place for routine stuff for my dog about a couple of years. They operate like a garage. You take your dog there, they sell you diagnotic tests and commit you to buying more products and services. They take your dog to the back and do not bring them out until you pay the bill. If you need a prescription refill, they make you pay for a visit and new tests each time that would give them the opportunity to find questionable conditions for selling more products and services. Our dog has been seen for many years by the prior vet owner and continued with an excellent new vet at the center thereafter. Our dog was on a prescription they provided us each month. After a recent visit, the staff called us to pick up a prescription. We did and began giving our dog this medication assuming the vet had prescribed a new medication for her joint issues. Do NOT bring your precious pets here. Many years ago, when they first opened, they were a small town customer and pet friendly business. Now they are a "business" in every sense of the word. Only interested in giving you "worst case scenario" and pushing expensive and invasive diagnostics. And then they "guilt trip" you if you don't want what they have suggested. Never do they say "let's try this course of action" and if if doesn't work, we can do more testing, etc. They jump to the highest price diagnostic immediately... read more

I don't have much confidence in this veterinary practice anymore. Years ago, it was excellent. So far, all the individuals I've dealt with don't seem to be very competent. I've been told on two separate occasions that I would get a call back and never received either. No one can seem to answer my questions to my satisfaction. The first time I brought my pet in, I never even met the veterinarian who treated him in person, only allowed a phone conversation from home before the visit. Pricing seems very high.
