We brought our 21 year old cat here when she was obviously starting the process of dying. The only concern these people had was running as may tests as possible and pumping as many meds as they could into her. They wanted us to shove liquid meds down her throat 3 times a day for the rest of her life. Ending her suffering and letting her go with dignity wasn't even an option. 2 days later she died at home alone in a corner. She could have passed in my wife's arms and not needlessly suffered for her last days, but then this ve... read more

I went in to set up two appointments for my two dogs. Woman behind the counter told me she had one thing to do before she could help me, no biggy I sat down and waited, and waited and waited I was there 15+ minutes watch them help others, finally I got up and left, said thankyou as I left. All I needed to do was set up an appointment, Guess they didn't want my busniess.

I came here because the vet I used had started working here. Its a nice facility and now that he left the woman who called my phone for my cat let me know that the doctor had left and even told me where he went which was really great. My low stars are for the fact that my 17 year old cat needed a re-check on getting his thyroid levels tested after a few months on his medication. I don't have much money and called and asked exactly how much it would be so when I called I made this clear she told me she would speak to the doct... read more

We just moved to the area and picked Brentwood Veterinary Hospital because of the good reviews. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am giving only 2 stars because I took my dog in for a reoccurring wound that began about a year ago. We think that something was lodged in a wound when he had an encounter with a skunk. We have previously had the wound looked at and reopened twice to probe and flush it out but to no avail. His paw had swollen again and the area was popping up between his "toes". A few days latter wh... read more

I have been going to BVH for 14 years and when we lost our first cat they were awesome! Especially Dr.Odom. I am leaving BVH though due to the high pressure tactics they use to get you to make appointments. In-fact they refuse simple tech treatment until you see one of the Doctors @ $50.00 just for the visit. I wanted to bring my Shih Tzu in for an anal gland cleaning and they will not do it because my Shih Tzu had not been seen by a doctor in awhile. My husband and I both work jobs that we drive 60 + miles a day and d... read more

Examine you bill closely ! I will not go back to this Vet because they pressure you to add on services and products to up your bill. I got a quote for having my dog spayed, and when I got there they brought me an estimated cost $200 over the quote. I asked them to remove those items and the did but reluctantly after trying to convince me to keep the extra expenses. If you quote a price, stick to it ! This is a common practice of many Vets and you have better choices in the area

12/7/2012 'When our sweet, adorable apple head Chihuahua, Sparkle, was 4-mos old, and just 3 lb, BVH vet A. Olsen recommended she be spayed and have her rabies shot. Afterward, Sparkle could not walk properly and her hind legs were very weak. Several months later she developed seizures and than a paralyzed larynx and couldn't breath without oxygen. She died a horrible death at 15 mos old. Other vets and breeders we talked to say Sparkle should not have been spayed before 9 mo to a year, and certainly should not have been giv... read more

I was really looking forward to coming back to Brentwood Veterinary Hospital. I had used their services many years ago with my golden. One of the doctor's left and I followed him. Now new golden and a Shih Tzu mix, and I am back to a place I trusted to do the right thing. Unfortunately not! I brought my dog Buster in yesterday for a check up and what they said were needed vaccinations. I told them he gets groomed and has had the bordetella vaccination before, and they said he was due. Buster had his exam by Dr. Sims and... read more

Four months ago, we took our 3-lb, 4-mo-old chihuahua to Brentwood Veterinary Hospital to be spayed. The vet said she would also give her a rabies shot before we brought our puppy home and that it would be fine. But it wasn't. After recovering from the operation our "Sparkle" could barely walk let alone run the way she did before. We later learned she suffered from a severe reaction to the rabies vaccine, which affected her all the more because her system was already weakened by surgery. She should not have been subjected to... read more
