I have taken my dog who always has stomach problems to many different vets around the Concord area and no vet can tell me what the problem is. Thank god I found Brentwood Vet. Hospital and Dr. Odom because he is amazing. He's very smart, informational, professional, and gentle with my dog. I do not feel like I'm getting ripped off like I did with other vets because Dr. Odom is very conservative when it comes to treatments and money. If you're unsatisfied with your vet, I would definitely recommend this vet.
I have a 14 year old mixed breed collie and Dr. Odom has been taking care of him for about 5 years he is great with my dog. I thought my dog was on his last leg about 3 mos. ago and it was a inner ear problem dr.Odom new exactly what it was with out running blood work or test that other vets i heard would do and charge you like crazy. He always calls when there are any problem to check on my dogs. You cant go wrong with this doctor he know his stuff.
I am new to Brentwood and needed to find a new Vetrinarian for my two cats and a dog. I went to this Vet because my cat is very sick. They were so kind and gentle with my little guy. There Doctors are very good, but there staff is just as nice. April in particular went above and beyond her duties to help me with information regarding decisions that need to be made with my cat. I have two terriers, and have been a client of Brentwood vets for quite a few years. Now that my dogs are getting older I get see the people at the vets a bit more often, and I must say that the dogs and I have always been treated with the greatest of care and compassion. The ladies in the front-(April, Michele, Emerald, Laura and the rest of the staff) are so friendly and reassuring when we have been with major issues or routine. My Golden had torn his dew claw a week and a half ago and it didn't seem to be healing. They fit us in to their Friday schedule and we saw Dr. Sims, she's always great with Cosmo, she advised the claw be removed to minimize risk of infection. She numbed the affected area and removed the claw and bandaged him up. He's on antibiotic and mild pain reliever and he's doing great. The staff is awesome and so is Dr. Sims.
My rottweiler puppy got sick one afternoon and I was able to get an appointment the following day without a problem. The staff was friendly and very good with my dog. The veterinarian was great. She explained all of the possible causes of his illness and gave me several options for treatment. I LOVE this place. I took my senior dog there for superb care during the last two years of her life. I've seen Dr. Odom, Dr Tracewell and another I can't remember. Great, great service each time. They are great with my dogs, and when Mary was put down the respect and care I was shown was tremendous. I cannot thank them enough. I think their pricing is very fair. I wish I could give Dr Odom and his staff 10 stars for their compassion, professionalism and overall love of pets. I could not be happier with the way they treated my precious Akita during her final moments. They made a house call to Discovery Bay when my own vet, Discovery Bay Vet, wouldn't even drive across the street to help me. They were just so loving and gracious.
