From start to finish it did not go well. Kitchen did what they wanted or order not taken correctly, couldn’t flag down help and they were out of 3 things we asked for. The pricing is not that of a typical diner with great service and they probably have a steep rent. With that in mind, breakfast foods should be a given and they really need to step up their game if they want to stay in the game and get those corporate breakfast meetings coming in.
I think I’m done w/Brooklyn Diner. Went to both locations this last trip to NY, and the service was equally bad in both. At the Times Square location, we ordered the cheesecake (very good) and the chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was inedible. Dense to the point of tasteless and difficult to masticate. We left most of it, and I ind cared to our server that it wasn’t good. Nothing. No response except to ask if we’d like to box it up uh, no. At the 57th St location, we had to repeatedly ask for lemons, ketchup, the check. Su... read more
Brooklyn Diner has been on a nose dive for many years. It has finally hit bottom. So what are the problems - when you finally get seated you find yourself packed into sardine-can type space; it takes forever, and two request of a bus boy and one request of the host, to get a waiter. And when you finally order... read more
Seating is very uncomfortable. Booths are tiny, no room for purses or shopping bags. Food is overpriced and not worth it. Don't buy the mustard, it's too grainy and greasy
when we arrived, told us we couldn't order off full menu because it was in-between shifts. rude.
Poor service and non English speaking bussing staff Overwhelmed servers Had a bill for $72.24 and gave the waiter $100 bill He asked if I wanted change and then he gave $27 change Had never previously had this issue
Had fire in a building connected and had to leave.
There was no pastrami for the second visit in a row....this time at 12:45. What NYC diner/deli doesn’t have pastrami?? That’s like Chick-fil-A not having chicken!
Very disappointed in the small amount of food for the price Service was the WORST ever.
