Come back here every year the host is fabulous and very amicable .sadly ,the table service we received was really poor . To expect a tip of even 10 percent would be too much .asked for mustard 3 times ..then just got it myself . Maybe he was having a bad day but is it too much to expect your waiter to be half way friendly .Otherwise food nice .book in advance as diner gets busy . Great host thou .

Fond memories of my. Childhood memories growing up in Brooklyn made this a very special visit. Come hungry - the portions are huge!
I’m a repeat customer - great atmosphere, service, and staff. Prices are high, even for NYC standards, but just take in the whole experience. Make a reservation esp during peak times. NYC marathoners — this was my go-to restaurant on Sunday night or Monday brunch esp if you are staying in Midtown. It’s a cozy space so don’t attempt to bring a huge party.
Great diner style restaurant with fantastic service and lovely food. A great find, would highly recommend!!
Our son and girlfriend returned next morning for breakfast, and our “doggie bag” of eggplant parm made a delicious lunch!
