The atmosphere on new years eve was terrific and the staff were friendly and helpful. The service was good .. our waiter in particular was efficient ..polite and attentive to our needs. The prices are a little steep for some items but no more than a lot of restaurants in this area. The drinks and milk shakes are not cheap. Sadly the real downfall was the quality of the food. Chips were virtually cold on arrival and as stiff as cardboard... the burger was undercooked and the bacon cold and very chewy...chicken burger tasted h... read more
The Chinese Chicken Salad has changed - not as good as the original recipe. Wish they had Coffee ice cream sodas and Coffee Milkshakes!! Food is always good and LARGE portions,
We actually booked the wrong location by accident and went to the Brooklyn Diner on 43rd Street for breakfast. The manager was so wonderful and accommodating. He sat us right away. He even came back to let us know that he contacted the other location about the mix up and that we were all set with our check in. He said it happens all the time. Waiter provided excellent service. Food was delicious! I would definitely go back the next time I’m in the city. I highly recommend this diner...just make sure you book the right locati... read more
Considering the location and other like restaurants, this was a very good experience. We were seated promptly and the waiter did a great job - the chicken pot pie was fantastic!
Classic American diner
We make this a go-to stop whenever we visit NYC. Food is consistently excellent. The dessert menu used to be better, but what the do offer is excellent.
Love coming here it’s a bit pricey for breakfast but worth it. We accidentally booked the other location but the manager was able to accommodate our large party. Best coffee and we love the polenta bites.

They acknowledged our reservation immediately, promptly seated us, and we had excellent service from our waiter. We loved the "50's diner" ambience, and the food was out of this world!! I had the beefsteak sandwich (had seen a street vendor advertising them during our stay and it sounded good!) and my hubby had their flatiron steak. Both were really goo... read more
Fresh and tasty food in a clean and cozy diner. Matzoh ball soup was excellent.
