should incorporate a kids menu as my 4yr old only had an option of macaroni from the regular menu it was a little disheartening.
Fantastic egg white omelet! Was cooked perfectly! Also loved the polenta bites!
As an Englishman in New York, this is exactly what you want from a Diner. On the other hand, this is no ordinary diner, this place is special. Great atmosphere, great food, great service, I wish I could take it home with me.
The best part for us was the convenience. Staying at the Manhattan Club, on the worst stormy night, it was convenient to our hotel and to Jazz at Lincoln Center where we werre headed. The food was good, the portions very small for the price. Down at Ground Zero the next day we ate at Bill's Bar - another hot spot in the city. The food was twice as good, twice as much at half the price. Don't think we would use Brooklyn Diner again.
Overall, it was OK. Not good enough to revisit. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Chicken Pot Pie (CPP) was fabulous (just a little too salty) and big enough to satisfy 3 people. Offering a smaller size would be a great idea, or mentioning their CPP is big enough for at least two diners. The matzo ball soup was OK, and the coconut cake was also just OK (rather dry and bland).
Great burgers and shakes. It was a little pricey but it tasted good enough we would go back for sure.
The Pastrami was heavenly with great coffee and eggs from our hometown of Lancaster.
Great food there always!!
Delicious - I was able to have a great gluten-free roast turkey sandwich. My husband had the chicken pot pie which he said was awesome (it looked great). My kids had pasta - generous portions. One child is allergic to nuts which they handled well. Everyone had different desserts - I loved my root beer float and my son’s chocolate chip cookie was a huge, soft and warm cookie as big as his plate. It was a big win for us!
