unknown unknown

Business response:

The customer called two days before her installation of her sump pump to cancel the job. This was over 2 weeks after she made the original purchase and far beyond the the three day right of recession. We explained the deposit was non refundable since the short notice wouldn't permit us to schedule someone else that day. She indicated she no longer wanted the sump pump and we did agree to install windows which reduced her transaction price by 50%. This is not a case of the customer being dissatisfied by the service, product o... read more

I had a wet basement and the provider chiseled out a trench and installed a sump pump. The positive: the area where the trench is installed works and water doesn't come in. The other positive is that the job was relatively inexpensive. So, the "job" worked, water is not coming in. But, I think the job looks bad / ugly. The cement they used to cover the trench has already split in several spots plus it is super thin in some areas. This is not what I consider a quality job. The did solve my water problem but it doesn't look go... read more

Business response:

I offer the following information not as an excuse rather an explanation. As you may remember when you had a problem originally you called and I came right out to inspect your basement. Together we developed a solution to extend your system. Had we been notified of any additional issue we would have responded in a similar fashion I will send a diagram of the footer construction to help explain why there is a hollow sound. Basically the foundation extends 4” into he basement under the floor. There was originally anywhere from... read more

unknown I thought I was getting an assessment for a damp basement. Instead I got a sales job about one product. That's not an assessment. I was extremely concerned until I realized it was a sales job.

Business response:

You indicated when you scheduled your appointmentt that you have a dehumidifier that is filling daily and you have to manually empty it. You also indicated that you a musty basement odor. Our inspector recommended a dehumidifier that can remove up to 11 gallons of water per day, empties itself, and will reduce the electrical cost by half. This was based on utilizing a hygrometer which measures the percentage of moisture in the air. It's a relatively small invest of $1600. I am sorry your perceive it to be sales job. almost a... read more

. Pressure sales to do more work than was asked for it necessary. Pressure to call and verify loan monies that first visit with "caveat" we have three days think it over. After one day we notified them no too much money and more work than we wanted addresses. How about just addressing what we asked for. I was emailed back by the rep that no he doesn't even want ANY of our business since we changed our minds after he spent so much time at our house

Business response:

As the owner of the company I personally apologize for the unpleasant experience you had with a member of my staff. I take full responsibility for his actions. Our company philosophy is to present the information, educate the customer, and allow the customer to make a decision when and if he is ready, Our salesperson obviously don't follow our policy.. We have taken steps to correct his actions. It is our philosophy to provide just the services they need and not try to pressure over sell. Its seems to me had he executed his ... read more

unknown Noise from battery for sump, they said it was the water softener which it probably was but no explanation as to why.

Business response:

I am sorry we were unable to to determine why the noise was coming from your water softener. Unfortunately this is outside our area of expertise. We were able to determine that your battery back up was functioning properly. We appreciate the opportunity to check your system

Ended up doing a bit of pressure salesmanship before we were ready - would not give us a few days to decide. Really kept pushing us to make the decision that day - and his estimate was over $7000. Then he convinced us to just apply for the financing he recommended to see if we would be approved. OK so we did. Once he found out we would be approved, he pushed even harder to make the deal that night - stating that we had 3 full days to cancel the contract if we decide otherwise. So hesitantly we did that. After 24hours when we... read more

. The offer was for an inspection and then $200 off services if preformed. |We had water leaking into our basement from our cement floor garage which is above the basement |We were told that the sheet rock would have to be removed to give an exact estimate, but he said it was creaks in the concrete and each creak would cost $700+ to fix and that if there were multiple creaks he would work with us on the cost. |We called another company from Angies List and they offered a free estimate |Bill said all we need to do was to buy ... read more
